I just found from my doctor that I need to have surgery on my elbow. I've been dealing with tendinitis since last August and it hasn't gotten any better. I've had four cortisone shots and physical therapy and the elbow has become worse. Of course, it's my dominate arm, so it rarely gets a break from being used. The doctor said that the procedure is fairly simple (easy for him to say!
) What he basically does is disconnects the tendon from the elbow, scrapes the inflammation off the bone and then re-attaches the tendon. I'm not real crazy about being laid up and off of work for any length of time, but it's getting to the point where I'm always uncomfortable. Besides, the risks that go along with any type of surgery make me more than just a little nervous!!!
