Just found out I'm pregnant - need prayers and PD!*Updated page 4*

Kim, I will keep you in my prayers. I hope you have a safe and healthy pregnancy

Congrats to you. And lots of prayer and pixie dust! I hope you have a very healthy pregancy!

Congratulations!! I had one DS and then 2 miscarriages. I went to a high risk Dr. After blood work, nothing abnormal was found. She prescribed progesterone when we decided to try again and monitored my level when I beame pregnant. It was fine for the 1st few weeks but then started falling to an unacceptable level even though I was using the progesterone. So then I was put on a higher dose. My DS is now 7. Best of luck.

Congratulations and best wishes for a safe pregnancy for you and your baby!! Take it easy!

Congratulations!! I hope you have a healthy pregnancy. :)

My mom and her brother are about 13 years apart and still really close. :)

Wow.........everyone is so thoughtful. It is quite a bit reassuring and comforting to hear of others who have had multiple miscarriages and gone on to have healthy pregnancies. Thank you all so much! This is just what I need!

I'm hoping everything goes well for you. :)

 Prayers and PD for you, baby, and your pregnancy, Kim! My OB had a patient that had her first at 40! :) Blessings to you. Try not to worry too much.

I'm another later in life mother. I was 39 when DS3 was born.

I also had the help of progesterone. With both of my pregnancies, I was on it from the beginning. With DS3, I stayed on it most of the pregnancy. With the pregnancy in between the two, I was on as high of a dose. Whether it helped or not, I'll never know, but I do have 2 healthy DS's as a result.

I wish you the best.

First congrats!!! That is wonderful news and I will say prayers for a healthy pregnancy. I had a miscarriage and then had my son. A friend of mine has had 2 babies followed by 2 losses then 1 baby, another loss, and then 2 more babies!!!:earseek:
My mom had my sister at 37 after a tubal pregnancy 5 years before. She was told she couldn't have any more kids. There is 17yrs. between me and my sis!! And 21yrs. between my lil sis and older sis!!!
You'll be fine!

Congratulations on your blessed news! Prayers to you for a healthy pregnancy, birth, and precious baby!

I had a perfect pregnancy with my first ds, now 19.

Three years later, I had a miscarriage.

Got pregnant again almost immediately -- started having heavy bleeding at six weeks. Had an ultrasound every other week for several weeks. Doctor thinks the pregnancy was originally twins because there was a second collapsed sac visible on ultrasound. Once my doc decided the baby was viable, I took progesterone shots.

Decided a third child would be wonderful three years later, but it took well over a year to get pregnant. Miscarriage a couple days before what would have been my first ob appointment.

Younger child started kindergarten, and DH and I decided two children were really plenty. A month later, I found out I was pregnant with my third. He was born on my 38th birthday and is 9.

My 19-year-old and 9-year-old are best friends.

no experience to share, but best wishes and prayers to you! :)

Congratulations!! I know how scared you are! I had 2 kids, then 4 miscarriages and I don't get pg easily! 170 is a good, normal level for early pregnancy! Do have your progesterone checked too, it's just a blood test. My sil had 4 miscarriages, a baby, then 4 more miscarriages, then another baby. So you can do it!!! Congrats again! You have built in babysitters (pay them, tho!;) )

Congratulations!! Try to relax and enjoy this time as much as you can. I'm praying for you and the stork.;)

Congratulations and good wishes for you. I had my 3rd child when I was 38. At the hospital the nurses said that they like older mothers. I can't believe I'll be 60 when he graduates from college! Here's to older, more mature and patient mothers! BTW, Start resting up NOW because we are also more tired!

Congratulations, Kim!

I too had a miscarriage, an ectopic pregnancy and then two healthy DD's - 11 months apart. Beacuse of my ectopic, when I got pregnant the doctors checked my hormone levels every other day. The most important factor for the HCG is not necessarily what the level is, but that it doubles about every 48 hours. That shows that the pregnancy is progressing properly. My doctor also checked my progesterone levels which were low so she prescribed progesterone (suppositories) which I was able to discontinue after about 8 weeks. Make sure your dosctor checks both levels.

Good Luck. Here's sending PD your way for a safe, healthy and comfortable pregnancy and a beautiful, healthy baby.
