In a couple of weeks, I'll be attending a conference in Anaheim and just found out that all attendees from my employer have a day pass to DL! I've never been to DL but have gone to DW several times. If you only had 1 day, and if you had been to Disney World before, what would you recommend as must-do's or must see's for the first-timer to DL? I live on the east coast, so it is very unlikely I'll have another opportunity to go to DL. So, what do I do?

What an exciting opportunity, I'm envious! If I had one day to see the park, I would definitely hit the big 3. Parade of Dreams, Fantasmic, and Fireworks. I would suggest planning your day around those.

If you're looking to see more of the park, it's imperative to get there before opening. Even an hour after opening, and you're behind the curve. In terms of rides, I would suggest those that aren't in WDW, or seem to be different (as posted by other DIS people). IASW, Peter Pan, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Casey's Jr. Train, and the newly remodeled Space Mountain. I am sure that I'm missing a few other great caveats of DL, but fellower Dis'ers will add :)

I would say Indiana Jones, Haunted Mansion, Matterhorn, Small World, Space Mountain, and the fireworks are all must-sees. If you have time also see Disneyland: The First 50 Years. It is a great display and movie of how it all started. Very nostalgic for those of us who were there in the early years.

Rats! PotC will be shut down. But i concure The Mighty MATTERHORN :cool1: ,Mansion,Indy,BTMRR and Splash.Go ahead and do Star Tours,Buzz, but do yourself a favor skip Pooh.(Let the slammin begin). ;)

Oh i forgot,if you have time hang out @NOS and catch some of the jazz bands. :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 Yea good suggestions. I'd also suggest seeing Matterhorn. Heard from many it was really good and not just from the people here but yea :) have fun!!!

Thanks guys and gals for your suggestions - I can't wait! I will definitely do as many of these as I can squeeze in a one-day visit. Thanks again!
