Our local library has family passes that can be checked out for a few attractions that are within an hour of our town. This includes 4 places I like to go to about one time per year. The pass for the zoo even includes parking!

Just letting all of you budget-minded people know. Perhaps your library does something similar!

Right now, all passes are checked out. My guess is, once school starts back up, there will be better availability. And, my husband is retiring in October, so he will have more time to run And get the passes if any are available!

I used to work in a library when I was in HS/College and there are a lot of things that the library has to offer that people do not realize (fax, notary, passes, wifi stations, etc.). For our libraries, as long as we have a valid library card we can actually reserve/take out any passes from all the libraries in the system. We recently took my son to a local children's museum and while our town library didn't have a pass for it, a nearby town did so I was able to borrow their pass. We ended up saving 50% off the admission price.

You'll have better luck if you check towards the beginning of the calendar year. I know it's tougher to plan--we'll go to the zoo on July 27!, but you'll have more choices available.

This was particularly handy when we lived in New Hampshire--many of the passes were to things in Boston (children's museum, science museum, etc.) Boston has a TON of fun, family-friendly things to do.

Our library has several and I used to use them a lot when DS was little. It was wonderful!

They've recently started advertising a "library of things" as well. - You can check out games, tools, etc.

I was checking our library…they also have 3D printing, but you are required to take a 3 week class, which only happens during my working hours. i‘ve already planted the seed to my DH that he might want to look at that when he retires later this year!
