Just for laughs....

Patch is a Prescription - need to see you doctor for a "note"

I used to be able to say that I didn't ever get seasick on a DCL ship - no longer. in 2013 we had a sea day where the ship was rocking and rolling. I've been on it when it was worse, but by mid afternoon my head / stomach had enough. I didn't bring enough Dramamine (my drug of choice) for daily use on the cruise (I max dose for snorkeling or being out on smaller boats). Our tablemates had the patch and I used one for the most of the trip up the Mexican Coast to LA. Worked fine for me (I think that I would have been fine without it but my wife and our friends insisted ...) I didn't experience any of the side effects - going blind (or at least fuzzy eye sight), drowsiness (its just a stronger Dramamine) etc. It appears to have worked fine for me - as it does for many cruisers.

I may stick with the dramamine....who wants to go blind or one eye fuzzy?!?!?!

I've sailed the 4-night itinerary twice (I assume you're talking about the Dream one that goes to Nassau and Castaway Cay) and both times I really felt the movement the most on the first night during dinner. I guess because the ship is really moving to make it to Nassau.

And FWIW...both times I was in Enchanted Garden. Second time we were near a window and looking out the window with the sea pretty much at eye-level made me feel worse. :confused3 Different for everyone, I guess! :)

Good guess! It was the Dream! :) I always feel better when I can see what's going on, even better if there is fresh air to boot. I also get it a little in the theatre if its rockin' hard back to port while we are in there too. Never enough to even use medicine mind you, but my tummy feels it.

Yeah, the theater and the bathroom (especially the shower) are the other two "problem" areas for me. Not stomach stuff, just messes with my head a bit. :)

I brought lots of Dramamine with me. I had the original formula and the non drowsy. At night I took the original and slept very well. During the day I didn't really notice the motion unless I was in the shower, MDR, or the theaters. It was any place that didn't have an exterior view that I definitely felt the movement.
Worst case, if you run out, the infirmary has some you can take. They don't want you throwing up any more than you want to be throwing up lol! They lose money when guests aren't healthy enough to be running around to the shops, buying drinks, etc. so they offer Dramamine for the guests. I believe its the original formula though, so be ready for a nap!
