Just for fun - What rules have you broken?

While we were staying at VWL we walked over to River Country(after they shut it down) and jumped over the fence and walked around. :rolleyes1 Don't tell anyone!! :ssst: I've taken salt and pepper shakers for VWL too. Please forgive me.

I used my BB refillable mug to refill all of our other non-BB mugs.

Once we left our PH passes back in the room so we used my Mother and Father's passes to get Me, DW and DD into the park.

Don't ask how..shame on you for wanting to know :ssst:

OK, I will say that we made our small "mark" in pen above the kitchen cabinets in a brand new room at SSR. We were the first to stay in the room so we felt honored. :worship: Shame on us! :sad2: Next time you stay in a 1BR at SSR, see if you find it!

and I'm just a stickler, but I don't consider this "breaking the rules." I consider this "property damage" -- something that would really steam me up if it happened in my real home and causes only slightly less steam (due to increased MFs, unsightliness, etc.) here.

Again, however, jmo. YMMV.

I completely agree with this. It is vandalism no matter how small the mark.

I fed the ducks once, and may have fed a sea gull once.
Now that I understand the reason for this rule, I don't break it.

We hung our swimming suits out on our balcony at OKW. At the time I didn't know this was against the rules.

Yes, Kathleena....very private indeed. 1978. No Grand Floridian, no paths, no wedding pavillion, no easy way to get to that little spit of sand. BUT in the far distance, so it is barely ( :rotfl2: ) possible that a monorail honorary captain with 100-20 vision and nightviewing goggles (did they exist in 1978?) might have caught a glimpse of a couple standing and kissing and then poof!
disappearing. :jumping1:

well it was the first time for us as dvc'ers and DH and I went to "publix" for grocery shopping and got a call from our kids (3 teenagers) on our cell that they had found the coolest pool in the world and to hurry back so we could join them... when we returned it turned out that they were in STORMALONG BAY and nobody questioned them... we didnt get to join them it was closing hrs by that time.so I guess only my kids broke the rules!

Thanks for opening my eyes. You are right, vandalism is vandalism. I do treat our DVC room like we do at home. I usually make sure everything is clean and put away better than when we got there. :sad2: I view it as a second home. Gosh I feel so bad now. :scared: :crazy2: :faint:
Gosh I never do any of the other things everyone else listed in this thread!

I have a feeling a Dis-Board hearing may be in order (similar to the Congressional steriod hearings) based on this thread. I'll just do the Mark McGuire thing and state that I'm not here to discuss the past and leave it at that.;)

(Good idea)

Sometimes I don't stand clear of the closing doors. But I always kindly give my seat to anyone needing special assistance and hold small children by the hand when exiting the monorail. This often confuses their parents.

:goodvibes

1. Shared a refillable mug with my kids at Blizzard Beach (but it was a brand new one and the only one I have ever bought)
2. Had dinner at numerous resorts (BC, GF, etc) and gone to the park for an hour or 2 while parked at the resort.
3. Lied about my son's age years ago when you had to pay full price for children over 9 at the buffets...he barely ate a half of plate of food back then.
4. SPRINTED through the movie theatre at Norway to avoid being trapped into watching the Norway movie after going on the ride (what is that called? -I am drawing a blank).
5. Got multiple fastpasses back in the day when you could use your DVC key and your ticket media.

We have taken pool towels back to the room--but we do bring them back and deposit them in the dirty towel receptacle. Sorry, I can't stand when the kids shiver and their lips turn blue!

Call Chip and Dale Chuck and Dave--can't help it Love ya, mean it!

Brought glass beer bottles to the pool, and used the pool after hours.

Yet to have my first trip home. Not likely to have too many rule-breaking stories, though, as I'd be scared to death that I'd be banished from WDW and my life would be over!

I lied about stealing a television from an OKW bedroom.

My daughter took a pillow case to the pool containing her laundry and left it there. I mean in the laundry room.
I used to take the small yellow sponges but now they don't give out decent sponges anymore. I guess everyone took their sponges home. I doubt they could be reused anyway!

By the way, I thought if you used the SAB pool while staying at VWL you would be summarily turned over to the police. I understood from the DVC newsletter that they would arrest you, finger scan you, and ban you from using ANY pool until 2042, or until you die, or whichever came first!

I use this as an opportunity to sit and relax in AC for a few minutes.
