Just for fun - What rules have you broken?

I'm reading rules here that I didnt even know were rules!!!!!

I have never called ahead to pool hop. I have only pool hopped once, and DH & I just did it. I figured that if the pool got really crowded and they started checking IDs, we'd just leave. I never knew calling ahead was a rule.

I always take towels from the pool to go back to the room with. I hate having my hair dripping wet as I am walking, and sometimes at night if it's chilly, I'll throw one over me shoulders. I do bring them back to the little return receptacles the next day though.

Other than that, we are fairly law-abiding citizens I guess.

Ok.. I swore peer pressure would never get the best of me, but it has.

I too will confess.

I have..well I forced my DH and darling youngest DD to STEAL toilet paper off the maids cart (hey it really WAS an emergency situation ..and 2 rolls of TP for a family of 4 for 4 days just does NOT work).

We have taken pool towels back to our room and used them in a studio (but I did launder them and return them (to the room) clean.

I have taken some extra napkins and condiments from Roaring Forks for use in our room.. oh yeah... and some plastic wear too.

And finally.. I will admit it... I have reused refillable mugs for 3 years. I swear I am buying new ones this year.

I hope they let me check in again. :worried:

This thread is probably giving the room and pool "police" a heart attack! :rotfl2:

Quite often I wade around in SAB (while staying at VWL of course) and read the POS. Just to keep things fresh, I like to break one new rule each trip. :teeth:

MG

I admit to taking extra condiments when we do fast food to bring back to the hotel.

I even walked into SAB one time while no one was looking (did not swim)

Here's a bad one I've been in need of confessing.....No flaming please! You know where people come out of the hydrolators at the Living Seas to exit the attraction? Well, we've kind of um, gone in them to get to the displays and avoid the movie part.

No flaming here. Been there, done that. I just pretend I'm Brazilian and can't read English.

Disclaimer: My DIL is Brazilian and she said I can say that, because it's true they all learn English in school and really do understand what "move all the way to the left" means.

Which reminds me, I have, on occasion when it's obvious the theatre won't fill up, sat in the middle of the row.

Oh man, I am realizing I'm so bad, so very bad.

I took a picture at the top of TOT when the doors were open once. No flash, but got the pic.

:rolleyes1

We have never bought a refilable mug. Never will. :cat:

I have consumed beverages on the pool deck.

Guilty here too.

Not only are we all going to meet up in hell, I'm getting ideas for future trips! :rotfl2:

Taking towels from the pool area never occurred to me...and returning them. :scratchin

While at a DVC Resort . . .
1) The federal government is after me for removing the matress tag.
2) The NFL is after me for using descriptions of a game without permission.

We've re-used our WL mugs a few trips... However, we use them for refills so infrequently during our trip... I usually fill it with coffee that I've made in our room... I still don't think I've got my money's worth yet.

OK, I might be a "germ-o-phobe", so take that with a grain of salt...

For those of you (ok US - I admit it!) who "borrow" pool towels, I would recommend NOT laundering them before returning them. Just return them dirty.

When the towels get professionally laundered, they are sanitized. When you wash them in the washer/dryers, they are not.

Might be a small point, but now I'm scheeved and I probably won't "borrow" pool towels again. Scared straight!

Used my AKL mug at Roaring Forks (WL).

Used the DVC laundry facility when staying in regular room at WL.

My parents who live 45 minutes from Orlando decided to stay overnight in our studio once and I didn't notify the front desk.

Guilty of pool towel violations.

But did you take him home with you?

I will be making my first trip as a DVC owner in May. So I have to keep these things in mind: Take towels from the pool, soap and tp from the maids, salt and pepper from the restaurant, don't forget my collection of 'forever at any resort mugs' :rotfl2:.

I've stayed at WDW and DL a lot tho...and I ahve done a few bad things.
Daughter went through the tollstile without paying once...I tried to tell the CM but it was busy and he just waved me through. When I got engaged at the luau, we sort of consummated our engagement out on a private sand beach that is now exactly where the wedding pavillion stands. (wait, is that too much information? sorry)

I too am guilty of going in the 'exit' at the Living Seas...and tho I am guilty I don't feel at all guilty for skipping the movie at times.

I once told the toll booth CM that I was checking into the Poly when we weren't staying at the Poly for 2 more days...we were staying offsite but I didn't want to pay for parking. (I am philosophically opposed to paying for parking)

I think that's it, but then we all tend to have selective memories at times!

We have also taken pool towels back to the room, but only because I was cold. :cold:

A couple of years ago, we did a load of laundry on our last day, a towel from the kitchen was in with it, and I packed it with the load of laundry by mistake. So, we have "stolen" a towel from the kitchen at BWV.

We have not bought re-fillable mugs from any of the DVC resorts, so I cannot say we re-used mugs! :)

Are you sure that beach was private??????????

I took the towels we were wearing to dry off with back to the room. But is that breaking a rule if you are using it still? I wasn't sure on that rule.
