Just finished The DaVinci Code, anyone else read it?

By far it was my favorite book in at least 10 years. His other books haven't lived up to that, however, IMO.

See, I thought the DaVinci Code was a good book, not a great book. I much preferred Angels and Demons, now that book was AMAZING!!!

but enjoyed them both. My most favorite book so far has been THE RELIC by lincoln child and Douglas preston. all these books mentioned so far are BIZARRE.....I enjoyed them all

And I can't get into that one. Go figure. I have Deception Point on my radar.

I too enjoyed the DaVinci Code. I read Angels & Demons afterwards and I thought it was excellent, too. I hope the Movie lives up to the book, with Tom Hanks as the lead.

Now, unforunately, I just don't understand that casting at all. Tom Hanks doesn't fit my visual at all of Robert Langdon..... Oh well......

That part I can do without. He doesn't at all seem like a candidate for the lead role to me. I don't know who I would want, but NOT Tom Hanks.

Maybe, a younger Harrison Ford. :D

I thought it was good, not great. When I first started reading it, I couldn't put it down, but I didn't find the whole thing to be as interesting as the first few chapters. I did like it well enough to want to read another of his books, though.

I thought the book was good. I was expecting more at the end than panned out. I, too, am not excited about Tom Hanks in the lead role. He's not intellectual enough.

I just finished Deception Point. Not as good as the Da Vinci Code, but I enjoyed it. It got better as I got further into the book.

I thought it a great story but the writing left much to be desired. I think it will be a much better movie than book.

I read it because my neighbor insisted that I did. I enjoyed it a lot. Found it hard to put down, but also found myself scouring the internet to look at related pictures, organizations, etc. Maybe I'm just a geek!

I agree. He's a good actor, but not who I pictured.

exactly!

Just finished "Angels and Demons" today! I am going to read The DaVinci Code next. I found myself arguing with his "thinking" about the Catholic Church. I think I found the book irritating. I did like it but it rubbed me the wrong way.

Tom Hanks as Robert Langdon, bwahahahaha....that is pretty funny.

Brad Pitt would be an excellent choice. Too bad. Even Johnny Depp.
