Just finished booking our VWL vacation!!!

I'm so excited!!! We originally had an OKW reservation, and we just decided we would spend the extra points (just this once) to stay at VWL in December!! I've called day by day to convert the reservation, starting at the 7 month mark... Most of the nights were completely sold out by the end of that day, so there must be a lot of others doing the same thing!! This is for early December (12 nights) which is a hard time to book anyways, so for just this once I am thrilled!!! When I started to change the reservation over I made sure that there was availability for the whole stay... in fact MS said there was PLENTY of availability at that time... so I just took my chances that the availability would remain... booking a long vacation is hard to do when it's not your home resort!!

Just had to share my excitement!!

I just added two nights at BWV to our 5 night stay at WLV during Thanksgiving week. I followed my friend's (another DVC member) advice about calling MS frequently. Looking back, I could have done this weeks ago, as I had the WL reservation, called for the 19th, 20th, & 21st at BW. The first time they had the 19th and 21st available, but I didn't take them. I called a few days later and they had the 20th and 22nd, but let them go also. I was on the wait list for those days, but it seems if the whole block is not available they will not let you know. But if I had taken them individually I could have filled it earlier. But I am all set now!

We also go into the VWL at the 7 month window after having ressies at our home, BWV. We are going the 9th of Nov for a week, 2bdr & studio. Hope you enjoy it as much as I know we will. Would like to know a room to request for a good view.

Ahoff, I think you can specify when you get on a waitlist that you'll take individual days. Not sure if that's a good idea or not, but I think you can.

Congrats!! Don't you love extending your WDW trips?! I hope you have a great time. Going in December (early December) is a great time to visit. I don't blame you for being excited!
