Caskbill.....great idea. I used to work at Raytheon and they had a project called PRT = Personal Rapid Transit which was to be almost exactly as you described. The project was dumped I heard. One of the issues was the difficulty in writing the software to control it. But if anyone could do it, Imagineering could.
