Just doing online check in and can't print boarding pass. Help please

Am having a nightmare of a day, and to top things off, i have just gone to do the online check in through virgin and my printer won't connect to my laptop.

It was working just a few days ago and now i just can't get it working.

Can i still check in on line without printing the ticket?

I have an electronic ticket which came from the travel agents a few weeks ago, but i haven't had any instructions on what to do with it.

I don't know if i am just being thick here but i feel like crying as i really don't want to lose the seats and end up on opposite ends of the plane like last time.

Last month going out 3 of us could print boarding passes 3 couldn't, they just do them at the airport bag drop no problem.
Coming back we don't have a printer in Orlando so never printed them off, they give you them at bag drop.
Even when we have printed them they have torn them up and re-issued, this year was the 1st time they have ever used the ones I printed.
