Just did taste testing. . .

the other night - tested 4 different kinds of soup - got paid $60 cash for about 1.5 hours!!!! Right into the WDW fund!!!

I do that sometimes! It's a great way to get extra money. I hope they call me again between now and September!!!!

Dh and I do this.....he was called to look at cars at a car show-they paid $125. I just did a group on bread, that paid $60, and in two weeks doing something for a teacher group....I'll be paid $100.

The money always goes into our vacation account.

We're lucky in that respect....there is a big market research group here locally. Dh and I do 1 or 2 a year. Not alot, but usually adds about $300-$400 for our vacation fund

Hi TZMOM...I'm from Mt. Laurel too. What research firm did you do your taste test with? I did a restaurant focus group about two weeks ago. Got to try about half the menu and made $50. My DH works in a very specialized field and he made $175 for a two hour focus group. Very easy money if you qualify for the study.

I must have checked some box somewhere that added my name to something because this company calls me about 1 or 2x per month. It's J. Reckner Associates - I think they have a website where you can sign up. They're in East Gate off of Fellowship Road. I REALLY hope they call me again. It was something different to do. I've participated in a handful of different studies-one was a discussion panel about healthcare-trying a new razor-a taste test for baking mixes-taste test for spag. sauce-taste test for soda...I'm registered for one in 2 weeks that has something to do with local grocery stores. Each one has paid between $50-$75. I know some pay more...

I got into this thru a friend who did them. It's done through a local marketing firm. Various local and national businesses contact them to pay people to rate their products in a variety of ways. Besides knowing someone who does this to refer you, I'm not quite sure how you'd get into this.

I'm in Camden County NJ near your Mt. Laurel people.. I've also done Focus Point out of Bala Cynwyd. The test was in Mt. Holly, and I got paid $100 plus a nice (think very nice) lunch!

Altho I don't live near one of their facilities, they do online and phone surverys also - not sure what the reimbursement, if any, is for them - guess I'll find out if they make contact with me again!

Thanks for posting the link. A company that I have had success with is Plaza Research. They have offices all over the USA. They are very strict in their qualifying procedure and only call about 2-3 times a year but they pay well. These are strictly focus groups where you go to an office and discuss the product. When my DDs were younger, they used to get called quite a bit to do focus groups on toys.
