Just did an add-on at AKV!

Hi all, just wanted to share the good news with people who would actually appreciate it (no one in my family or friends LOVES Disney )! We just did a 100 point add on at AKV!! We got them for $100 a point with the incentive, plus the $500 visa gift card. So excited! I really loved AKV when I booked my mom a studio there for 2 nights last trip. I now fully understand "add-onitis". We bought the minimum last February at BLT, 160 points but we are already borrowing points from 2012 and decided we couldn't bear missing a year

Congrats. We just did the same thing a few weeks ago with the same incentives giving us a total of 310 points all at AKV. We planned an April trip and didn't have enough points. We have already borrowed next years. We even got this year's points (We have a December use year.) This allows us to have enough to complete our April trip and have some left over for next year.

I also need to pay off my BLT one but I figured what the heck....It's a good deal and we were itching for more points. I will make a large principal payment with tax return on BLT loan to make myself feel better....lol

We actually got hurt by the 2 years of "points reallocation" so our points just weren't enough anymore... so we added on a couple months ago by buying points at our "fav" resort... AKV!
Just booked our first Concierge stay there in Nov.

Congrats on your add on! Seems like a lot of addonitis is being relieved lately, however I have heard it is only short term fix and it will eventually worsen again as time goes by Enjoy!
