Just desserts at the Plaza

Hi all-- we have an ADR for lunch at the Plaza during our trip in 2 weeks, but we've decided to try Pinocchio Village Haus instead after reading the great reviews of the new menu here. But I still want ice cream from the Plaza! We can't use the ADR, because it's for 11AM and I'd like to eat lunch BEFORE dessert, even if I'm on vacation. So I'll be cancelling that, but should I bother making a later one for just dessert? We've been lucky before with walk-ups at the Plaza if we get there when they first open, but what about 2PM-ish? They have tables outside, right? So if we're just getting dessert, without an ADR, are those tables usually readily available? Any thoughts? I'd appreciate any advice.

Those tables outside aren't for the Plaza as far as I know. I've only seen people enjoying things from the bakery or Casey's at those tables. We've eaten at the Plaza quite a few times and have never seen anyone seated or served out there.

I don't know how easy it would be to be able to just walk in around 2 without an AR. But if you'll be there during a busy time, why not make an AR just in case? You could probably make one earlier that day at the Plaza or City Hall.

You're probably right, it'd be a good idea to make another ADR. I guess I'll do that when I call to cancel the other one. Thanks!
