Just out of curiosity...how many of you DLR lovers have no desire to go to Disney World or on a Disney Cruise??

I guess if I had experienced either one I may want to do it again, but I can honestly say I have no desire to do either currently...am I crazy? :scared1:

Disneywold, most defenatley. The cruise, not so much. I have never done either.

I do want to go to WDW but I am a little scared of going, okay I am really scared of going!! It seems so surreal and way too big for me to be able to cope with, I am a planner and I know DL back to front so I am comfortable there but going to a whole new place with no idea is terrifying.

I know how you feel, I've been planning a WDW trip for 3 years now just to make sure all my bases were covered. Hoping to go next October.

I have a friend who's dad lives in Florida and she goes every year, if I go I will be going with her and she can plan :rotfl2:

Funny that you posted this.

I was given my choice of WDW or a disney cruise. I have never been to WDW but have been on two disney cruises. Honestly the disney cruise is like nothing you have ever done before. It is amazing.
I however have chosen WDW because I have never been before and think it will be a great experience. :goodvibes

I kinda want to go on both but I love DLR WAY TOO MUCH and will feel a let down I believe

I've been to WDW a handful of times. Would I go again yes. But it is much more expensive, mostly because airfare from where I live costs about $550. Compared to less than $200 in gas to take 4 people in the car.

However cruising brings up another dilemma. If I spend all the time to fly out to Florida, i don't want to skip WDW to cruise. So to do both take a lot more time and money. Would i cruise though, yes.

Would I drive to Port Angeles to cruise? Probably not as I've been to the west coast a lot and not the Caribean. Also for many but not all the best part of DCL is Castaway Cay.

I am just dying to go to WDW. I want to see what it's like, try some different rides, and I've always wanted to see Epcot.

Right now we are trying hard to get there in 2014 for our 25th anniversary. Of course, I have my heart set on the Poly and no less than a week would do, so it is adding up. When the time comes, we are going to look into Dreams Unlimited for help. Although I sometimes read the WDW forums to get a feel for how things are there, I think the extra help in making decisions and booking a package would be good.

I'd love to try a Disney cruise too, especially the one to Alaska, but WDW is my priority. The only problem is saving up for WDW when I keep going to DLR! I'm not missing out on all the new changes happening there in the next year or so!

Umm, ya, you are crazy. Well, you asked.

I lived in New England my whole life. In '08 DH received a job offer that brought us to SoCal! :goodvibes

We went to WDW on our Honeymoon and after we had kiddos we went every other year to WDW from the time they were 10-20!

In 2006, DH & I did the Land & Sea on the Wonder! OMG, absolutely A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!

So here we are its 2008 and we find ourselves (Newport Beach) 20 minutes from Disneyland .....
BE STILL MY HEART!

I am not saying to do the cruise, but definitely find sometime in your life to travel to WDW and see all that there is to see there. You will be BLOWN AWAY! WDW is as FABULOUS as DL is but on a much larger scale! ::yes::

Edited: We recently relocated to San Diego ... which we can still make it to DL for day trips!

Funny you should bring that up. We want to go somewhere East this year and take a year off Disneyland waiting for the big 2012 festivities. So we are looking everywhere from Outer Banks, NC to Myrtle Beach, SC, and then on down the coast. My wife comes home and asks why we don't we add a few days and go to WDW as cheap as we can. So I start investigating and I keep flip flopping on whether to go back or not. It would be fun to be at one of the resorts but I really have no desire to go back to Animal Kingdom or Hollyood Studios. I really love Epcot though. And the Magic Kingdom would be fun for some of the rides.

So many decisions.

So liitle time.

I'd like to go to WDW and take a Disney Cruise as well, but my heart will always have a soft spot for DLR.

I will always prefer DLR but have loved my trips to WDW too--it's just a different experience. I am going on my first Disney cruise (the two-day Cruise to Nowhere) in just 10 days!

I have no interest in seeing WDW, but our next trip, after our current one at the end of the month to DL will be to WDW. I like the fact that we can drive to DL in 3 days or an easy less than 3 hr flight to LAX. With us it's at least a 7 hr flight, and almost double of what it costs us to go to DL. And most of that expense is the flights and hotel. Food is also more expensive there. It takes me just over a year to save for DL. WDW is going to take me at least 3 years to save for. I also like the fact that everything is closer together, and easily walkable.

This is kinda how I feel...

My boss and his wife are big DLR fans. Last summer they did a week @ WDW, then the cruise. I just feel I would be compairing too much to enjoy the differences.

It's nice to hear all of your opinions, everyone has a different point of view that makes me be a little more open to the idea.
