A friend of mine was told by a CM that upon departure, DME buses come every 20 min. or so. So, does that mean that if you missed your bus you can catch the next one? Would they really allow you on? What about your luggage?

I was under the impression they came every 2-3 hours, so if you miss your bus-- you miss your flight. I understand it may be cutting it close but it is better than missing your flight altogether like I originally thought.

I ask because on our last trip I almost KILLED myself and my girls trying to make our bus after a long day at the parks and I DESPISE being late for anything. It would have been reassuring to know we could have gotten on another bus.

it sorta depends. at a location like POP in the middle of the day, they probably come every so often. they're scheduled based on need. it's quite plausible that if you miss a bus, there won't be a next one in time. if you believe you missed a bus, you need to contact DME directly asap. keep the toll free number handy.

I have used the ME 4 times, each time I was instructed to be at the bus stop 15 minutes prior to my pick up time, and I always have gotten there earlier. I have never noticed the buses coming every 20 minutes, it seemed like they are spaced out from about a 1/2 of an hour to 45 minutes.
I would not count on getting another bus if a you miss your own. If you do, and the next bus is full, you will not be permitted to board, and then you certainly risk missing your flight.
The park buses may run every 20 minutes but not the DME buses.

Yeah, pretty much everything helen said :)

DME buses pick up at the various resorts twice an hour, ideally a half hour apart (although naturally, delays happen).

You are assigned a specific DME bus time, based on your flight's departure (pickup times are 2.75 to 3 hours before the Guests' flights).

If you miss YOUR bus, you may well not be able to fit on the next bus, given that there will be a number of Guests at your resort, and possibly at other resorts where that bus is supposed to stop, assigned to that bus. It's unreasonable to expect that someone who is on time for their assigned bus should be penalized because X number of Guests at the previous resort missed a bus and boarded that one, instead.

And if you miss YOUR bus, and can't get on the next bus, you could miss your flight. Assigned pickup times are scheduled to allow for unforeseen circumstances such as, but not limited to, traffic, bus breakdown, bad weather...

Thanks I had a feeling they were mixing up the park bus schedules with the DME schedule.

I really wasnt asking for personal gain. I would never purposly miss my bus anticipating to catch the next one. It would just relieve my panic if god forbid it should ever happen.

Thanks again!
