less than $1,000.

Each child will get around $100 and DH and I will limit it to around $100. That's $400 right there, then throw in the nieces, nephews, etc....

Each of my 4 kids has a $300 Santa Claus Budget. No matter the age they all get the same from Santa. It is up to them to ask Santa for a bunch of small things or 1 or 2 large things. If I go over the $300 on one child I match the overage on the other 3.

Then Siblings and neices and nephews I do $25 per person. Parents 3 of them ( 1 step) are $50 a piece.

Teacher gifts, mailman, tips etc,, I go about $50 total.

So If I watch the budget for everyone, not just the kids. It comes out to about $2100.

Well, since our Christmas budget includes a trip to WDW and a stay at the Poly, you can probably guess where my vote went :rolleyes1

:rotfl: We are going for 2 weeks leaving Christmas Day (they find out Christmas Eve) and they are getting a few presents...let me tell you I agree with all who said the older they get the more expensive those "little", "it is the only thing I want", "you don't have to buy me anything else" presents can be!

less than $300 on family and close friends and around $75 for teachers, staff, and bus drivers

I plan early and most are homemade gifts. I also used to overspend, especially for the kids, but not now. I've reformed my ways. lol

Roughly $1600. That includes $200 for each of our two kids (gifts and stockings), $250 each for DH and I, $20 for each of the in-laws, $15 for each of the neices and nephews that are local, $25 each for our two distant neices, $35 each for gift baskets to my Mom and my Dad, family photos, Christmas Cards, postage, gift wrap, decorations, and food (feasting isn't cheap).

I would love to come up with a way to save some serious money on Christmas. I really wish we could stop exchanging gifts with our extended family! But that idea never seems to get very far.

I voted under 800; I spend about $125 per child (3), $150-200 between our 3 parents, $100 for DH (or so), and then another $100 on misc gifts for friends & my nephews & niece.

We are going on a 10 day cruise
I spent $700 on SO, so far
I spent $150 on friends
no family
SO will probably spend about the same

I'm hoping to keep our budget at less than 1500.00. We spend 300.00 each on our 3 children. That's 900.00. Then we also buy for our parents (mine & his), grandparents (mine & his), my sister, my secret pal, teachers, etc. I think I can keep it under 1500.00. :)
