Just curious, on average how many photos do you take?

I love taking pictures and I scrapbook too, but I'm not super into editing or anything. I try not to let the photo taking interfere with the experience itself. For a weeklong trip we probably take about 2-3000 total. I say "we" becuase my DH and DS's take pictures too, and I like getting their perspectives to include in the scrapbooks. One year we took so many pictures that I had to make 2 albums just for that trip! (for perspective, I usually use about one album a year for other activities and events) We have a tradtition of taking food pics, and certain spots we always take pics in- it's fun to see the boys grow.

I took over/almost 300 in MGM within almost 5 hours. All of them were usable, even the one i took of the concrete! Until I read mamabear's post I guess I realized maybe I should put the camera down and just enjoy it through my own eyes

I find I get so caught up in "capturing the moment" that I miss a lot of them. So my goal is to take some but not all day/night. I don't need a daily pic in front of the castle etc. One or 2 will suffice

When we came back from Malta in 2011 I had 440 photographs, I thought 'wow nowhere near how many I took in Florida in 2009!'

When I looked I had actually only taken about 150-200 over a 14 day 7-park trip! Oops. I think it was because I didn't want to lug my big (and AA battery hungry) camera around and risk damaging it, or wait in bag lines because of it. (It was a bad camera...)

Now I've gotten a better, rechargeable camera I will be hoping for a little bit more photo wise next trip. My only concern is splashes and bag lines... Hmm. Give it to my mother perhaps? :p

Last trip I took a little under 4,500...but I've been going every year for the past 7 years...is that bad? My friends/family tell me I take too many pics...but I disagree.

I would say close to 1,000 (not including photo pass), but every evening at the resort I delete the bad pics or pics that are almost identical. I enjoy reminiscing the day by reviewing the pics. I would say this last trip I didn't take quite as many as previous trips.
