Just curious... (Character question)

Does DLR still have the "no multiples of any one character out in the park at a time" rule/guideline?

DH was interested because on our last trip the Celebrate parade was going on while we were eating at Red Rockett's in Tomorrowland...DH saw Mickey and Minnie together meeting children while the parade was going on (so Mickey and Minnie were in the parade, and in this other area..)

He came back to me and was like "I thought there could never be more than one Mickey out at a time!?"

I said it was probably just a timing mistake or something, but I'm curious now too

As far as I know - that is still the case. Only one character out at a time.

That's what I thought too...we both thought it was strange that they were in tomorrowland and in the parade happening at the same time..

- scratches head - I don't understand. How can Mickey Mouse be in more than one place at the same time? I know I can only be in one place at once, how about you? Maybe Mickey was super fast and went from the parade route to Tomorrowland?

I think the general rule is that if a character is out in two different places, they can't both be visible at the same time. For example, you can often find Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald and Goofy on Main Street and then go back to meet them in Toon Town. But they're far enough away from each other that you won't be able to look back and forth and see double! Since you can't see the parade from Redd Rockett's, there was no way to see that Mickey and Minnie were also in the parade.

I always thought the exception to that was the parades. A second of a character in the parade could be out, but in a different section of the park. But, honestly, I don't even remember who told me that a couple years ago.
