I was just curious...if you are on the Dining Plan, what restaurants would give you the "best bang for your buck," as the saying goes. The all-around "top" restaurants in your opinion, for food AND atmosphere?
(We already have Le Celleir and Teppanyaki on the list) ::MickeyMo

Try Spoodles :flower:

go on allearsnet.com and print off menus that will give you an idea.

Yep, that's what I did. I ate a LOT of filet mignon!
I checked the menus, sticking with only one-credit table service locations and avoiding buffets.
Character meals are not a priority for me.
I'm not a big fan of seafood (or pork or lamb, for that matter :))
Four nights: I ate at 50s Prime Time Cafe (pot roast), Chefs de France (filet, window seat, great view of Illuminations and they lower the lights), Concourse Steakhouse (filet) and Kona Cafe (filet with a DELICIOUS demi-glaze - flavored with Kona coffee!).
Those four meals alone far exceeded the cost of the plan, even before tax and tip. Then I still had four counter service meals (breakfast at Pop, meatball platter at Tangierine Cafe, two sandwiches to take home from Earl of Sandwich) and four snacks (frozen banana, and three bottles of water - again to take home :))

Le Cellier!

We also did the Yachtsman Steakhouse and although it was 2 table service credits it was well worth it! We saved a ton and the food was AMAZING!!!!

We are also huge Spoodles fans! Dh says we are eating there twice this next trip! :cool1:

You have my 2 top choices already, but a strong 3rd is Concourse Steak House. The atmosphere is AWESOME @ the Contemporary with the Monorails going by (not noisy either) and the food is superb! Not to be missed.

We used the plan back in May 05 so some things may have changed but our highest check was at Spoodles. We both added shrimp and scallop skewers to our entrees.

Gotta love Concourse also try ESPN Club for lunch. Their food is awesome and our bill came to over 200 dollars.

I would add Kona Cafe to the list. When we were there in late August they were encouraging the shrimp add-on to the meal with the dining package at no additional charge. The desserts are awesome there as well.

I would also agree with the previous recommendations for Spoodles.

I would say Morroco was our biggest bargain for counter service, and was dang good, too!

Cinderella's Castle for dinner. The filet of beef was to die for, as was the chocolate cake. Also, Le Cellier was awesome as well.

In looking at the menus on allears Coral Reef also looks like it will really stretch your dollar now that it's only 1 credit.

I'm looking at the menu for Coral Reef and they don't have any desserts listed. Do they serve dessert? :confused3

So is Le Cellier just one credit? Has that changed? A CM told me it was two when we spoke last week.

Oh no, not this again. Le Cellier was 2 credits when the plan came out, then it went to 1. The brochure for 2006 states 1. The CMs have had this confused for a while.

Glad I can rely on the DIS instead of CMs! Thanks and sorry for the repeat question. I just figured the Concierge (yes, she was in the IPO) knew what she was talking about! I think:) I'll email her so she gets it straight for others.
