Pardon moi! Not everyone in the US is incapable of making good scones. I'm quite sure your scones are wonderful. However, my scones are not hard or inedible. They're delicious and made from scratch, just the way my mother and grandmother taught me to make them. My biscuits practically melt in your mouth and are sought after at any function at which they appear. I don't use a biscuit cutter on my scones though, only on the biscuits. Unless I make drop biscuits, and then I don't cut them into shapes. I may try using a biscuit cutter the next time I make scones.

PIO, I won't touch scones at a buffet! Come to think of it, their biscuits aren't usually up to my standards either.

There is a large English, Irish and Scottish influence here, so we have several tea shops, most making decent scones and having nice teas.

Come on! Just be warned that you'll have to share a bathroom with Scotty and Sulu, our cats.

Nope! Knowing how my cats are and since you're not here dribbling milk and freely dispersing crumbs, I sweep at least twice a day and vacuum at least every other day. We're pretty careful about crumbs on the floor.

Where else would Aurora live after she married the prince? The cottage in the woods is only a vacation spot.
