not that I plan on being that early but just wondering if we arrive than our scheduled time if they would seat us, guess it just depends too on how busy they are.

We didn't have any trouble with this. We'd often arrive 15-20 minutes early and were usually seated within a few minutes. Obviously it depends on the crowds, but if there's room to seat you, they will.

Hi,

That's correct. We have been half an hour early for some ADRs and we have been seated right away. We have been half an hour early for other ADRs and we have had to wait more than half an hour!

Yes, it depends on the restaurants. Arriving at Le Cellier just makes you wait longer. Other places, you may get in earlier.

It depends. An ADR is NOT a reservation. It just means that you will get the next available table that fits your party size that becomes available AFTER the time of your ADR. So, even if you show up AT your ADR time, you may still have a wait, since you have to wait for a table to become available. Basically, it just means that you are "next in line for a table at that particular time".

If you show up early, and they happen to have room for you, and NO ONE else is there with an earlier ADR time than you already waiting, then yes, they will seat you. Otherwise, you could end up waiting a lot longer.

Really, there is not much benefit to showing up early, unless the restaurant has a bar and you can sit and have drinks while you wait.

Just depends on how busy the place is. The hostess will usually tell you their status. I arrived early at Chef Mickey's, Tonys, LTT and got in with no problems. I arrived early at SciFi, Whispering Canyon Cafe and Coral Reef and was told they were booked and come back closer to ADR time.

If you need to go early, just try it. You might get lucky and get it. Otherwise, go see another show/ride or shop, and come back again.

I am always show up early to my ADRs, sometimes as little as 10 minutes, other times as much as a 1/2 hour. I have very occasionally in the past had to wait past the ADR time, but usually I am seated before the ADR time. This was true even during our visit to WDW during 2008 Easter break when everything is very, very crowded. There was only one ADR out of 10 where we had to wait until even the ADR time; on all other occasions, we showed up early and were seated before the ADR time.

We were about an hour early for one at Chef Mickey's- and they just verified our ADR and seated us in about 5 minutes. I didn't think they would- but was glad because we didn't want to have to come back.

It does vary from restaurant to the time of the year. When we were there the second week of November we had ADR's at Sci-Fi at 8:30 p.m. We checked in at 8:10 and weren't seated until almost 9:30. They were packed. The same thing happened at 'Ohana's. Other less busy restauarants will get you in as soon as possible.

In May 2007, we had an ADR at Artist Point for 7:40. We arrived about 20 mins early, as recommended . We could see the restaurant was less than half full, but had to wait until a few minutes after our ADR to get seated. It was a minor annoyance, but the food and service were great!

We had a trip just a few days ago, and the only time we weren't seated before our official ADR time was at Le Cellier. On the other hand, we were a party of two, so squeezing us in was a lot simpler than had we been a party of six or eight.

We are always there 10-15 mins early. Tutto always seats us right away. Le Cellier we wait a couple mins...Ohanas we wait.. it just depends how busy the restaurant is!

Sometimes they seat you early, others you wait till your adr time or slightly later depending on how busy it is.

It really depends on the resturant. We always try and be at the resturant 15 min's early.

Sometimes we are seated right away and other times we have to wait...we showed up 60 minutes early for Ohana, no big deal we were not expecting to be seated and we wanted to relax at the bar, but we had to wait another 30 minutes past our ADR time and that ticked me off
