Just closed. What's next?

I was notified today that my BWV purchase just closed. I'm so excited! The wait is almost over and I am eager to book my first reservation (I want to start using all those banked points that came with the resale). How soon do you think I'll be able to make a reservation? I was told it could be two weeks before I'm in Disney's system, but I hope it is sooner. Do I have to wait for my member package and card to come in the mail?

In my recent resale it was just 3-4 days after closing before I was in the DVC system. Once you are in the system, they can look you up by name and social security number and give you your menber number. At that point you can make ressies, etc.

It took months before I received my actual membership cards.

We've been in the system as quickly as 2 days after closing while another time it took 7 days. I'd start checking with MS early next week...

Congrats!!! We are in Phoenix, too...actually, Gilbert. There are a couple of Arizonans on this board!!

We closed on a contract in early April, and we were in the system the day after we closed. My mom closed on a contact last Fri, she received her deed in the mail yesterday, and as of today she was still not in the system. DVC seems to be REALLY back-logged on getting paperwork in the system right now...I'm not sure why.

I hope it comes sooner for you than it has for my mom!!
