We were going to use my step brother's DVC points and stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge for 6 nights and we were so excited about that. Then, I read about everyone getting the free dining pin, so I call just to see....and we got it!!
Since I found out that we can't use both DVC points and get free dining, we changed our reservation to POP and added 3 extra days!! Yeah, we'll miss all the perks at the nicer resort, but we've stayed at POP before and had a great time. I think the 3 extra days at Disney will be totally worth it. Now we have a full weekend of Flower and Garden Fest and the first full Star Wars Weekend!
And this is a little corny, but since we'll be there when the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie opens, we really want to ride the ride and see the movie on the same day. Corny, I know...but how many people can say they did that?
This will also be great for DH, who is a hobbyist photographer and has been dying to spend a day going around the "world" taking pictures - including resorts. Even though he's not jumping up and down like I am, I know he's super excited!!
