and they said they no longer mail out items w/names on them!?! They will not take a pre-paid order either and deliver it to resort. Nothing with a special name on it. I wanted to surprise the kids w/these upon our arrival, esp. for DS B-day....I guess we will have to wait and get them at MGM on our park day there.

I ordered my GoH badges from Gifts of a Lifetime and had them sent to my house so I would have them before we got there.

That's really too bad - I can understand your disappointment. I'm not sure when your trip is, but perhaps you could have another DISmember get the badges on his/her vacation and send them to you?

It really is a shame that you can't get them from GOL....

I'm confused...maybe I missed something. The OP said they couldn't get them from WDW mail order, which is different from Gifts of a Lifetime, which is a private company. Why can't they get them from Gifts?

Hi there ~

Gifts of a lifetime goes to the park and has them made for their customers then ships them out. The cost is higher because of this (their profit) + shipping and handling.

GOL sells them for $7.50 each... + S&H. I am not sure what they cost at the parks - I think around 5.95 (anyone know?)

GOL will also deliver them to your hotel for a flat rate of $20.00 so they will be there on arrival.

I had concierge pick up one for my DD and it will be in a welcome gift they are having in the room for her when we arrive at BC. They did not charge me anything for doing this other then the cost of the badge.

While you can't order GOH badges through WDW merchandise anymore, you should be able to order them directly from the store. I called back in December, for our trip last February, and that was the case. If you call the Christmas store at DTD Marketplace directly (I don't think I have the number anymore, but someone on the boards must!) you can order the badges from them. Or, you can order them through GOL, as others have suggested.

Just a positive review of the GOL folks. I ordered four GOH badges, and I have a name with a non-trad spelling (Erick). Ordered them on a Sunday, got them on Monday 8 days later. Approx. $36-38. Staying Polynesian Concierge, but I didn't want any goofups and now we've got them. Now to attach the Lime Green Ribbon

They were $5.00 each. I called ahead and ordered them. They took my VISA number over the phone for payment. BE AWARE the telephone number is an answering machine and may take a few days to a week for a response, depending on how busy they are in the store. I did not ask about shipping but they may be willing to ship to you. I am going in October and will pick up for somebody. I would not be able to mail them until I return unless you want to send me a self addressed envelope and I will mail from there.

Hi everyone, thankyou for all the helpful suggestions and ideas. I think we will stick with picking it up at MGM. We arrive 2 days prior tp DS actual b-day so I am going to quick run over there and get the badges. I wish the Disney Store at MCO sold them....that would solve everything! We leave in 14 days, so I don't want to risk leaving and them having the badges arrive.
