Check-in is Monday 12/14--5 days out. Just called and requested same room as prior trip in September. Hope it works out! I'll post back if it did.

just curious...which room or section?

We stayed at POFQ in August. We were in room 6333. I didn't request a room or a building because we had never stayed there before. We paid for a standard room... but you could see the river from our door. We want to return again this summer and I am wondering if we should request the same room or take our chances again.

The entire resort was close to pool and boat landing, as well as, food court and bus stops. It seems like there just can't be a bad section or room in this resort.

Room 5123. It's a King waterview right on the river. The other side of the building is the pool. Very quiet and a since we eat breakfast in the room, we actually get to enjoy the view!

That does sound nice. I think that is just across the big green lawn from where we stayed. I did enjoy the river view.

We didn't get the exact room requested, 5123, but we did get a similar corner room with a similar view, 5126. I would still prefer 5123, but 5126 was a very acceptable substitute.

We had "fun" arriving. We flew from Allentown, PA, into Sanford, FL, on Allegiant. It was a late flight, scheduled to arrive at 10:30 pm. Unfortunately, they closed the Sanford Airport because of fog and our flight was diverted to St. Petersburg. Thankfully, Alamo honored our reservation with a free drop-off at Sanford for the return. Also, I know the major roads so it was very easy to find our way to WDW and our resort in the middle of the night. We checked in at around 2AM. Everything else on the trip went exactly as planned. We really enjoyed MVMCP, the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights, and our other seasonal adventures.

We even managed to get home Friday night before the "Blizzard of '09" whacked the northeast.

This is why I love POFQ so much! We used to stay at CBR and the food court was so far away from where our rooms would be. If we ever forgot anything in the room after heading to the food court, then it was never worth the hike back to the room- unless it was our park tickets. lol The main theme pool is next to the food court, so it would also be far away. When I discovered POFQ - it became our new favorite hotel. DD loves the dragon slide. I love that you can hit the food court coming and going to refill our mugs. I love that it has only one bus stop and we hardly ever have to pick up RIverside. And it just so beautiful!
