Just called for AP rate for May and was told this...

Called Disney Travel this morning 7:05 (March 3rd) and was told by a very nice cm that "No not yet we are as anxious as you all and to call back on Sunday"

Heres counting down till Sunday! I hope shes right!

well some CM's have told people to look in their Sunday newspapers... so that may be it.

but I want to know.. IS IT ONLY FOR AP'S? I need general codes... not worth it to me to buy an AP just for the rates

When it's posted in the newspaper it's for the general public. Sometimes a package and sometimes a room-only. AP discounts are normally found on the AP part of the Disney website (usually after we see them here ).

I broke down and made ressies for the Poly for Mem day weekend. The CM kept saying, "You know you aren't going to end up paying this amount".... referring to FL res rates.... I keep thinking , "There might not be availability for exactly what you want."

Remember to be flexible when they do come out. for example, there might not be availability for WL woods view, but maybe there is for the courtyard view-you'd still end up paying less than rack rate for woods.

I called the other day and asked about Value and moderate resorts. The CM that I had said that none of the values were available and neither was POR.
The dates i had her check were 6-9 thru 6-19. I was shocked. I was flexable
with the resorts and I even asked her to play with the dates. Still Nothing. So I guess it is a wait and see thing.

That is odd - if you go to Disney's website, it shows availability at the value resorts, and actually offers POR as the upgrade alternative.

AP and Florida residents usually have the deepest discount, followed closely by the postcards/emails.
