I just went to the store and bought the ingredients to make the Mock Danish (I bought double everything). I made a portion of it and it was so good I decided to use up the rest of the cream cheese and make a big one! I almost ate it all. Now I'm so full. It was so good :D
Does anyone else go overboard like this? Pease tell me I'm not the only one that gets so hungry, once in a while I just eat and eat until I'm stuffed.

I only used 1 Tsp. of the Splenda in the whole 8oz cream cheese, but I'd better go figure out how many carbs I just ate.

You have to try the danish if you haven't, it is really good.

I never seem to be able to get it 'right'! Can you post the recipe and how you made it again?
Thanks!

The other day, I made our traditional New Years Day Pork Roast, complete with all the fixin's. It was sooooo goooood!!!!!!! I just couldn't stop eating! My family sat there agape, watching me devour sourkraut, pork, beer, dumplings, and mashed potatos, and did I mention beer?! (I know I'm making all the Atkins folks sick! Sorry!) They were making fun of me! I admit, I had to laugh along with them. I must have been a sight. "No! Really! Just keep your hands out from in front of her face!" LOL! I figured I owed it to myself, since I didn't get to have it for New Year's this year.
Anyway, in response to your question, No, you're not the only one!:p I loved it!!! Now I'm over it. Thanks for the laugh!

Keep the Faith!

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE DOUGH!!

My kids don't like store bought cookies- any of them! I think it's because I spoiled them with homemade ccc, snickerdoodles, oatmeal, sugar, and peanut butter cookies. I can refrain from all the doughs except the Chocolate chip dough- it's too yummy. So now I've gone 3 weeks without making them and in all lost almost 10 pounds!! Hmmm, maybe there's a connection :) . Also homemade zwieback rolls are a killer for me! Now I'm getting hungry- better stop thinking....

wovenwonder here is the recipe I followed from this board. I made the 2 oz. portion first with just a 1/4 tsp. splenda, then I wanted more so I added the rest of the splenda 3/4 tsp. in with the rest of the cream cheese 6oz. 1 capful of vanilla extract, a dash of lemon conc. and 3 eggs. I let it cook in micro for 4 min.

Mock Danish

2 oz. cream cheese
1 egg
1 Tbs. Splenda
1 tsp. lemon concentrate
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Soften cream cheese in microwave. Mix cream cheese and egg thoroughly. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Microwave on High for 2 minutes.

Should figure to about 3 - 3.5 grams of carbs for the whole thing.

Tracy, Mashed potatoes...yummy, but your right a no, no with Atkins people. Sounds like my kind of meal!

Tara, I was afraid to eat cookie dough because of the raw eggs.

LynnCC.....going overboard!! I know you read my post about my breakfast this morning!! TWO Carbolite bars!!! I am definetly paying the price for it today!!!

I have been having the Mock Danish the last couple of days....it is a nice treat and does not have the effect that the Carbolite bars have on me!!! LOL!!

I will make that tonight before we head over to my DD's Ice Cream Sundae party at her school!!

LOL, it isn't funny is it? I have the same thing happen with sugar free ice cream. BEWARE

Lynn,
There is a small risk of salmonella- however I am a rebel when it comes to cookie dough- the egg sites say the risk of having salmonella in/on an egg is less than 0.005%- but I will no way encourage anyone to risk it- just that for me the benefits outweigh the risk- however now that I'm losing the pounds and coincidentally not eating cookie dough- maybe my benefits out WEIGH the pleasure! :) I don't smoke, don't drink, what do I do? I eat cookie dough- I've got to have a vice :)

Okay, I've read too many really good reviews of this mock Danish. I've got to try it now :)

Tara, they have cookie dough ice cream so it can't be that bad for you...Enjoy or don't enjoy so you keep losing weight:)

You have a 1 in 10,000 chance of getting salmonella from a raw egg... and the cookie dough in the ice cream doesn't contain raw eggs... but those are beside the point. ;)

I like the Mock Danish even better with 3 ounces of cream cheese, and if you use a little vanilla DaVinci instead of Splenda, you save carbs. :) Never did get the chocolate one to come out right, though. :(

Most of the sugar-free ice creams on the market use some sort of sugar alcohol... that's where your laxative effect is coming from. It's pretty simple & inexpensive to make your own at home, though.

Sounds good.:D Has anyone successfully made it with egg substitute?(egg beaters)

Ok, I had dinner all set, and then we went to an all you can eat place. I stuck to the Atkins and did not have carbs that weren't in my salad or veggies, but....er...um....I had about 45 little hot wings...no coating, but when I put it into fitday I had about 2300 calories YIKES

Oh, this sounds like a great dish to go overboard on! ha ha! Don't feel bad at all! I think most of us have days like that. I can't think of a specific food that I just have to eat bunches of - I don't discriminate!!!! ha ha! I pig out on my "cheat day" and usually regret it several hours later as whatever I have eaten is churning away in my upset tummy! Learning some valuable lessons about how to moderate myself on the cheat day!
