After several attempts on the net and numerous phone calls to WDW, we have taken the plunge and bought premium annual passes - cant wait!!!!!

With the strong exchange rate at the moment it worked out the same price as the 14 day Ultimate tickets plus you get free parking, discounts, etc, so works out cheaper if you are visiting more than once in a 12 month period!

4 weeks and 2 days to go..........

Congrats!

Maybe I should have done that. I'm going twice this year! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: It doesn't matter though, WDW is worth it!

Make sure you get the DDE card too. It will give you 20% of most table service restaurants :)

To get the discounts and free parking, do we only need to buy one annual pass ? and where do you get then from

thanks

Yes, one AP per party is all you need to get the AP discounts and perks - including the WDW AP room discounts :)

You can get APs from calling Disney direct on:

00 1 407-9347639

You will get a AP voucher in the post that you need to activate the first time you go to a park or DTD (photo ID required) at Guest Relations. It then last for 12 months from that date).

You can also buy them from on of the Disney stores at Orlando airport.

Or, you can buy them at WDW itself at any ticket/Guest Relations window.

If you are a DVC member you can buy them online from the DVC member website.

Once you have an AP or AP voucher you can then get the DDE card (Disney Dining Experience), for $60 by calling the following number:

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]The DDE card gives you 20% discount at most table service restaurants in WDW (some dates are exempt, like Christmas Day).

The AP's are great! As Tim has mentioned the DDE card is good too, saved us quite a few $$$$$ last trip!

We bought our PAP's before Christmas when the $$ rate was good. We have our vouchers waiting to be exchanged :)(not going till Sept 07:()
Just waiting till a bit closer to the trip to get our DDE card.

Please could you tell me how much the Annual passes are, NeilDrum mentioned they are cheaper than 14 day ultimate tickets! we are going for 19 days and were thinking of 21 day ultimate then we have lots of flexibility, but if annual is a good price would consider one to get the parking.

Many thanks

They cost us £306.00 each (with the good exchange rate we got).

We are going twice next year and if we bought the 14 day Ultimate tickets as normal, this would have cost us approx £656.00 (using £164 for the cost of 1 ultimate ticket).

You will have to work out which would be cheaper for you but hope the above helps.

Worth considering at the moment is a 7 Day Magic Your Way Premium ticket from Attraction Tickets Direct. They are only £155 (7 days for the price of 5 at the moment) - and give you 7 days at the 4 main parks (park-hopping allowed) and 6 'plus' visits to any of the waterparks, Pleasure Island, Disney Quest or Wide World of Sports - giving you up to 13 days use. Importantly, you can add non-expiry to these tickets at any time while you're over in WDW at a cost of somewhere between $70 and $100 at Guest Relations - or they expire 14 days after first use. Car parking is not included, though.
These tickets have been ideal for us - as we also like to visit the Universal parks and Sea World. We bought them tickets for our Easter 2006 trip, used them for that trip, then added the no-expiry - and still have enough park days and plus options for our holiday in 2007.

Worth having a look at - if you aren't planning on spending every day of your holiday in Disney parks.

Thanks for the advice NeilDrum and juliebro. I`m just trying to decide if its better to try and buy now before the end of the year or wait and do it in the next few months as we don`t actually go till August.

Prices often go up in January - and the exchange rate is good at the moment - so we decided to get ours now. Time will tell as to whether it was a good idea!

We decided to get ours now because of potential price increases in January and exchange rate.

Have fun planning!
