Just bought my first pair of Crocs!!

First of all, congratulations...you're gonna absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them (I know I do!!!) :cloud9:

I just wanted to let those of you know who are planning on picking up a pair...or two, or three...that I ran across the website www.shoemall.com that is currently offering FREE SHIPPING on Crocs (among others)!!!

Their prices are the same as what you'd find on the Crocs.com website (unfortunately, they were out of my size in alot of the colors/styles I wanted) :sad2: , but you end up saving the shipping & tax!

Just had to pass this info along...can't wait for pairs #3 & #4 to arrive!!!

I want to order a pair for my daughter ( :earsgirl: 14) over the internet. Do you get the normal shoe size she wears. She wears a ladies 7 if that matters. She wants the beach kind. Any thoughts on if I need to go up a size or not?
I would say stick with size 7. I bought a pair for my DD12, who wears a ladies size 8 1/2 (!). I ordered a pair of the cayman from zappos.com. Since they only come in full sizes and I had read how they run large, I ordered her a size 8. They were too small. The Crocs cost $35.95 from Zappos, which is $6 more than other sites. BUT, that includes shipping BOTH ways. So I was able to return the shoes, no cost to me. Since they didn't have a size 9 available, they offered to look elsewhere for me! I thanked them and checked crocs.com, where I was able to look for local stores selling Crocs. Long story short, my daughter ended up with Coral size 9 Cayman that fit perfectly. Then I had to go back and get some for DS6 and myself! My son normally wears a size 1, but got a childrens' size 13. I normally wear a 6 - 6 1/2, and got a size 6. They're comfy! paw: :sunny:

I'll ask my question again - do you get sweaty feet in them????

I've only worn them once, but all day. Didn't get sweaty. It was a pretty warm day, but not as humid as Florida.

Okay, I'm a Croc newbie/idiot... I just read about these for the first time on another thread. What about them makes them so good? Are they only made of rubber/plastic? Are they really THAT comfortable? Help me overcome my concerns... :)

:thanks:

I can't do it. I have had them in my hands on numerous occations and can't pull the trigger. They are so ugly. :)

Me too. I keep picking them up and trying them on. But I keep saying they are so ugly. I bought my 6 year old a pair of imitation ones. She absolutely loves them. They are growing on me. I let her wear them to school today with cute capri pants. It actually looked pretty cute. I may get her the real things pretty soon to break in for WDW. I don't know if I can get them for myself or not.

I tried to buy some over the weekend, maybe it is just me but here is what I encountered:

Found the beach style in pink and black. The pink fit rather loosly although the tips of a couple of my toes would periodically hit the inside. Tried the same size in black, couldn't even get my foot into them! Found another black pair and they fit a little snugger than the pink but I thought they would be okay, wander around the dept. for a few minutes and they were bothering the top/side of my foot. Tried the next size up in both black and pink and they looked and felt like swim fins. Tried the style with sizes, (not S,M,L etc) not a big selection and were either too big or too small. Ughhh

I mentioned the size issue to the guy who worked in the Dept. He told me that they are made in different locations all over the world (Mexica & China) and that they have a lot of problems with consistency of sizing. Now I am afraid to buy them on the internet, has anyone else encountered this????

1. Do not buy knock-offs, they're not made with the same molding material that is good for your feet - they ARE plastic/rubber and do not support the foot in the same way, nor ventilate in the same way.

2. they do not make your feet sweat and dry quickly after wet rides or puddles from rainshowers

3. they are less ugly when they're everywhere - go for your favorite color, people will comment positively no matter where you go

4. sacrifice fashion for comfort and quality

5. the Nile is a nice slide-on, sling-back sandal for those who don't like the clogs, but they will cause blisters on top of the foot

6 if you think they're ugly and don't want to buy them- good - more for the rest of us! :)

I love my Crocs because my feet and legs don't hurt after wearing them all day. I haven't been to Disney with them yet, but as I think I mentioned upthread, I've "tested" them at Dollywood with water rides, wore them for two days at the drag races, and this also wore them this last weekend at the NASCAR race at Darlington, where we walked A LOT, and they were GREAT.

(Strangely, I saw MANY MANY Crocs at Dollywood, and hardly anyone wearing them at the racetrack. Must be the "in thing" with the theme park crowd.)

I just got some Crocs. Yes, they're ugly. But so are Birkenstocks. Crocs are a lot cheaper than Birkenstocks.

Yes, my feet sweat in them. But they don't get smelly. I bought Cayman's in my regular size and they are a bit too small for me, particularly at the top of the foot where they kind of stick. If they were looser it would be better.

But they don't get slimy footbeds when they get wet like Birkenstocks and the are adequately ventilated, imo. Probably socks would solve the sticky rubbery problem but I probably won't try that until the winter. Yeah, a pair of handknit wool socks will be great.

They are comfortable, but some days I feel the need to let my feet air out a bit more and go barefoot or wear my Birks. I will likely only bring my Crocs to WDW.

And that's my objective opinion...I like them, but they're not perfect.

I bought a pair of Crocs (the clogs) last week in the hopes that I would be able to wear something other than my sneakers (I have a prescription orthotic that only fits in my sneakers and my feet hate me if I don't wear them all day, every day). I wore them for part of a day and my arches were killing me. Am I doing something wrong to break them in or is it just that my feet are too messed up to wear them? Any thoughts?

I just got my first pair too! Lime Green beach. I kept trying on the Caymans and they just didn't fit my feet. Sure they are ugly, but so comfy. My husband wishes I had gotten a different color, maybe I'll have to buy another pair to wear around him.
