Just bought a MK, have a question about when it starts?

So it looks like we just got in under the wire! I saw the announcement about Disney stopping sales of MK. We bought ours last week on our last day there. We got the Enchant Key. I'm assuming that they've already started the clock on our year right? We had 5 day PH passes, and then upgraded to MK on our last day. So did our year start on the first day in the parks or when we purchased the pass, so the last day? Or when we first use the pass in the future? I can't find any info about this in the email they sent me.

It started on the first day of the ticket you used to upgrade.
