I am very happy to say we, DW,DS,DD just booked our second trip back to Disneyland last night:cool1: We are leaving July 22nd and staying for four nights at the Disneyland Hotel. We did this trip two years ago and it was one of our best vacations ever. I just hope this time can compare. The kids are two years older now, 7 & 5 and have been asking for a couple of months to go back. I think they are the perfect age for Disney, not to mention so am I, LOL.

Hydro Guy, when you made your trip to Disneyland July 2005 did you meet someone in line at the front gates on your first day? If you did, that was me. I remembered your wife saying you all wear the same shirts. I am very impressed with your knowledge of Disney since that trip. I have started to read all your posts and plan to use more of your tips. :thumbsup2

Albort, What can I say, in July my family and I will be on the look out for you. Let's just see if we can find you, lol.

Anyways, I look forward to reading more and chatting with others on here. This site is truly a great source of information.

Have a great trip! We just booked our first trip ever to DL (have been to WDW many times) at the Disneyland hotel also!:goodvibes We are going at the beginning of June, though.

Your kids ARE the perfect age! Enjoy!:)

Have a wonderful trip! If you want me to send your kids a Disneyland postcard before you go, (or Disneyland maps) just send me a PM!

How exciting for you and your family, TeamTnC!
July will be very busy, but if you follow HydroGuys advice, you will get the most from your vacation. I agree, your kids are at pretty near perfect ages. And you will all love the DLH:cutie: Have fun planning the next few months and welcome to the Diz Boards:)

Welcome to the DIS :)

You're going to have a great time. 7 and 5 are such fun ages. I remember when my kids turned 7, they were so proud they could ride the dark rides without me. They'd get in one car & I would either be in front or behind them, and they would be so full of smiles when we got off.

Hopefully, they'll still be able to make chocolate chip cookies on Main Street. I saw some little ones there and they seemed to really be enjoying themselves.

Thank you everyone for the responses. I really used this board a ton two years ago to plan our trip, that is why I came back here ASAP after we decided to go again.

lulubelle, you are correct about it being a busy time. We went one week later two years ago and followed all the ideas on here how to avoid long lines and it really works. I just went back and read Hydro Guys post and he is dead on, leave in the middle of the day, swim, eat, then go back for parades and shows. We actually meet him in line at the main gate two years ago and he was a great guy.

Mary Jo, making cookies on Main street, never heard that one before, can you tell me more? My kids love baking cookies, and I LOVE eating them ;)

Your kids are the perfect age. We went the first time when our kids were 5 and 8. They had so much fun! Have been there 3 times since and will go back this Easter. Summer is a busy time, but Hydroguy's helpful hints will help you make the most of your time. Have fun! :yay:
