...ok, not quite Disney, but have just booked a one week Western Caribbean cruise for September on Royal Caribbean's new ship (to be launched May 2007), Liberty-of-the-Seas :yay:

It sails in and out of Miami - we will probably fly in and out of Miami, but are looking to spend a week in Orlando at a private villa... heaven :)

Sounds good, Boo. I haven't really been keeping up with the ships being launched by the various cruise lines, but as NCL Latitudes members, we did get an advance notification of the Gem's inaugural mini-cruise (Dover - Amsterdam) which seemed too good to miss. We figured we'd spend as much for a weekend at home!

Anyway, it's morphed into a bit of a DIS meet (5 couples so far), so the more the merrier!

That sounds fab - inaugural cruises must be fascinating! Everything will be so new. It will be very special :)

Sounds like a great trip

Sounds great - where are you staying in Orlando?

Am pretty sure that we will go for a private villa again, probably in Reunion - we stayed their last October and it was really lovely - my husband was sold on the peace and quiet.

Next thing is to book the flights - good availability using cash and miles (BA), need to book them before availability disappears... AFter that will look at villas and putting a deposit down.

Are rethinking flying into Miami - may fly into Orlando instead. Husband is thinking of flying into Orlando, maybe staying at the Orlando airport Hyatt (have stayed their before and it is nice for one night), then driving down to Miami for the cruise before driving back for the week in a villa. Sounds more appealing to have all of the major driving during the first half of the holiday, although the Orlando flight is from Gatwick (Miami flight is from Heathrow) - Gatwick is a lot less convenient for us.

Just booked flights - £899 and 25k BA Miles per person flying Club World LGW-MCO-LGW - not cheap, but a very good deal for what it is :)

Next stop, looking at villas in Orlando (we have a week's cruise and then a free week before we fly back) and a hotel for a night's stay pre-cruise.
