So, I learned that we had an AP code on our profile that offered 35% off a room only rate (in this case, at the Poly :woohoo:). Also, since we booked a second room (as a MYW package) for my in-laws we were able to add the regular dining plan at a 20% discount to EVERYONE (I've never heard of discounting the dining plan before:confused3)

So, after all was said and done, for my DW and two DD's (4 and 2) we have a garden view at the Poly for 5 nights with standard dining for a grand total of $1,934.92. I "faux booked" this same trip through the web and came up with a "rack rate" of $2,974.

So, if I'm doing my math right (Lord knows, I'm probably not  ), I'd love some feedback!

Thanks, everyone!!! :thumbsup2

You don't say when you are going or for how long - that's the only way to verify the deal. But I also never heard of a discounted DDP - that's the only part that would make me question it off the top of my head.

Oh...right, small detail :lmao: It's early, and I haven't had my coffee fill yet!

5 nights, checking in on November 14th, departing on the 19th.

Rack rates are:
4 nights @ $415
1 night @ $430
Full price would be $2090
35% off works out to around $1358

DDP is $45.99/night per adult, $11.99/night per child

So $45.99 x 2 x 5 nights = $460
And $11.99 x 2 x 5 nights = $120
Dining at full price = $580

Total with room discount and full price dining = $1938

So I don't think you got a deal on the DDP. But I do think you still got a good deal - 35% off at the Poly is awesome, no matter how you look at it. I'd take it! :goodvibes

Edited to add: I just posted something similar on another thread, so it reminded me - what the CM might have said when you were booking is that you could/would save 20% on dining. Not on the dining PLAN. That is one of their spiels for the DDP - saving up to XX% off dining when you purchase a dining plan. They used to say 30% I think, but someone recently said 20%. So savings compared to eating without the plan, not actually saving on the plan itself.
