For September. This will be the first time I've been during that month. But last year I went in late August and survived the heat, so it can't be any worse. Although it's my 8th solo trip, it'll be my first with the DDP. So I can't wait! Any tips at that time or about the dining plan?

September can still be hot but its never bothered me. Any trip to Disney is all good IMO. Have a great time on your 9th solo vacation! I usually tend to either eat very early or very late just so I can relax a bit. If I get too tired or don't want to deal with a huge crowd I have the tendency to order room service. :thumbsup2 :teeth:

Take full advantage of the dining plan--eat in really nice restaurants you might avoid otherwise!

I did a solo trip last September, and had a fantastic time! The crowds are generally very low, and the heat varies, there were only a couple of times when I had to find solace in a shady spot with a Mickey Bar. (And that's where the DDP comes in very nicely! :teeth: )

The DDP can be a lot of food for just one person, I found myself taking a lot of cookies/brownies/fruit back to my room, so maybe factor in a lot of midnight snacks. And don't stress too much about getting your money's worth, use it as an opportunity to eat whatever you fancy, regardless of cost!

I got the dining plan for my upcoming solo trip and am looking forward to it. This gives me the chance to dine at some of the nicer sit-down places.

Please post a solo resturaunt report when you get back. There are so many choices-it will help with my decisions!

My solo must dines every trip are:

Crystal Palace (dinner on 2nd night & breakfast on last morning)
Tusker House
Rose & Crown
Le Cellier
50's Primetime Cafe
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Casey's

I'm also going to give the following a try:

Cape May Buffet
Coral Reef
Concourse Steakhouse

Solo trips are MY FAVORITE. I take a lot of them to get audio for The Meandering Mouse podcast. I even talk a lot about enjoying the parks solo on my shows. As far as dining goes, when I'm out there Solo, I only eat at sit down restaurants which have bars. I feel a bit more comfortable sitting by myself in a restaurant when sitting at the bar.

Have fun and enjoy yourself out there!

Check out the latest Episode of The Meandering Mouse in order to hear my solo journey to the Expedition Everest preview back in January...it's a stereo audio journey that starts at the airport, explores the area around the attraction, and, of course, has a ride thru.
