call me crazy , but i just booked our 2nd family vacation to DL in december...and we haven't even gone one our 1st family vacation to DL...which is in about 3 weeks! LOL! i've just gotten so excited with the planning process of our 1st trip, that i couldn't help but plan a 2nd one! dh thinks i'm crazy, but was okay with me booking another DL vacation. i did purchase trip protection just in case we have to cancel...you never know with a toddler and an infant (knock on wood, if one of them was sick, i wouldn't want to go).

...we are flying into LGB (it was $79/way on alaska!)...renting a car (i have a reservation right now...but as the date gets closer and we know for sure we are going, i think i may try priceline to get a better deal on a 3-day rental)...and we are staying at the camelot.

we'll be able to see F! and the holiday version of the fireworks. i'm sad that we're going to miss the DEP by a week, but there's always next year, right?!

i'm sooooooo excited!!!!! wooo-hoooo! :cool1:

Well, it is a RULE that you have to start planning a second trip before the first one has happened! It is the Disney Snowball Effect taking hold of you! I mean, surely you and your family won't get to see and do everything on Trip #1, so that is what #2 is for - to give you the extra time to see what you missed on Trip #1...and then see al the new holiday stuff too! And you can't see DL at Halloweentime without going back to see it at Christmastime, now can you? That defies the law of balance in the universe!;) It is all about balance and even numbers. 'One' is no good... 'Two' is much better... 'Six' would be even better! I am a bad influence.

LOL...i'm already planning another trip next year (maybe 2)...looking at either end of april/early may...and then again in september/early october...and the main reason DH is cool about the 2 possible trips next year is because i told him that we could fit a VW bug show into the itinerary. tentatively, there will be a bug show going on in fontana (about a 45 min. drive from anaheim) on sat 5/3. then there are bug shows up in sacramento throughout the year (DH owns a '57 convertible vw bug)....so if all goes according to plan, we will be purchasing our APs on friday 10/10!!!!!

i really do hope DH has a good time when we were there in a couple of weeks. he hasn't been to DL since he was about 4 years old.

thank you...you have a great time too...we arrive at LGB at 10:15am on 12/11...and our flight back home is at 6pm on 12/13.

I hope your DH has a good time too, seeing that he will need to gear up to make several more trips in the next 12 months! If he starts to look unhappy at any point, just remind him of the bug show on the horizon. Is he a sports fanatic? If he gets too miserable in DL, you can always send him off to ESPN Zone to watch whatever games are on at that time.

It is weird - some people have DH's and DBF's that totally get into the spirit of it all and they act silly and pose with characters and enjoy the whole thing. Other men I see there tend to look just miserable and are looking for the nearest alcoholic beverage. Fortunately, they can have booze in DCA, and it can be found in the hotels and DTD as well, so the misery is short-lived!

Ahh, so you're a week before us, we land at LAX at 10.30am on 18th and leave 8.40pm on 20th - flying in from New Zealand and out to the UK, a quick birthday stop over for my sone :goodvibes

Hope you enjoy both your trips, I look forward to hearing all about trip #1 in a few weeks.

hopefully, the look our girls faces will keep from dh getting uphappy. i do plan on getting the family back to the hotel for an afternoon nap, so that everyone can rest and "be happy". i think as long as we don't try to do too many things on our first day, we should be good. :thumbsup2 we're only there for 2 1/2 days...and then about another 2 1/2 days again in december.

i know i shouldn't do this, but i always do...check out the price of the vacation package AFTER we've purchased. i'm sooooo glad that i booked when i did 2 days ago! the price of the package that i booked is now $75 more! i even noticed that the flight from SEA to LGB is $104 now, as opposed to $79, which is the price we got! :)

Ahhh, I'm jealous! We just returned yesterday and I really really want to go back again right away...but it isn't happening. My 4.5 year old cried herself to sleep in the hotel on our last night because she didn't want to leave--it would have made things so much easier if we could have told her that we would be returning in a few months.

I hope both of your trips are wonderful!!

Oh thats sad. I hope your daughter remembers all the fun times she had....what did you guys get up to, any pictures? I am loving reading about everyones trips to DL - makes mine feel closer :rotfl:

Glad you had fun, even though she was sad to leave.
