Just booked our 1st VnA dinner!

Very excited and have to share! Today was my 180th day and I called right at 9am when the lines opened and had my choice of seating time. I chose the 8:30pm seating. We are late eaters and since I could only book TRex for my mom and kiddos at 8pm, it all really worked out It's our 10th wedding anniversary and I'm surprising my hubby and cannot wait for this experience. The girl on the phone took down our dislikes of foods (me no nuts or nut oils of ANY kind, and DH no seafood except shrimp and no salmon) and was really sweet about everything. I'll be doing a dining review of our trip and cannot wait to do a "special report" on VnA's for the DISers

I'm glad you were able to get the time you wanted. We also dined at V&A on our 10th anniversary. You are going to have a very special evening at V&A.

We ate there on our Honeymoon during our Honeymoon on 1/1/00. We went back 10 years later, although not on our anniversary. Both times we have been seated in the smaller dinning room. We will be in the World for our 11th anniversary this year, but won't be going to VA. We are having our anniversary dinner at Jiko, sans kids.

Even though you told them about likes, dislikes, allergies, etc., they'll call you about 2-3 weeks before your trip to confirm name spellings and anything else you'd like to know. It was so cool getting that call!

Congrats on your 10 year, and congrats on booking the best meal on property!! We were lucky enough to do the Chef's Table on our honeymoon in June 09, and it was just amazing. I also have eaten in the regular dining room before, an amazing experience as well. It's so romantic in the dining room, you're going to have an amazing time.

Booked my first too! Going with my mom - I made her into a foodie with a magical meal at L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon in London. Any other foodies know if the food will compare to that quality of food?? Comparisons to Eleven Madison, Le Bernadin, etc are also welcome. . . I'm sure the staff will be excellent/up to par, but since this is the only uber-expensive place in a very non-foodie destination, I have no idea what to expect compared to similarly priced restaurants elsewhere!
