They didnt have this when I last went down 10 years ago so forgive the newbie:goodvibes

I cant believe that in two weeks I can already start booking dining reservations...crazy..it's not til October! This seems like it will be even harder than hotel picking! ( we are staying at ASMo)

we went with the 1 sit down a day dining plan!

Any def "gotta do" from experience!

I will have a 2 yr old and a 1 yr old if that helps with suggestions...

Also - I will be away from Disney two nights for a friends wedding so I will be able to "splurge" on 2 sit-downs that you need to cash in 2 sit-downs..any suggestions on those too is appreciated!!

So excited!

One last question (I hope:thumbsup2)
do you find you do more sit downs for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!?!?! I originally thought dinner, but wondering what everyone else thinks!?!?

Thanks everyone!

I would say use 2 of your credits for the Hoop Dee Doo Revue at the Fort Wilderness campground. Your kids will have a great time.

Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom is a good buffet for the kids.

At Hollywood studios, I would suggest 50's Prime Time cafe.

At Epcot I'd recommend Tutto Italia or Le Cellier. I can't remember if either of those use 2 credits or not.

I would suggest mainly eating dinner for your sit down meals but you may want to do one character breakfast at either Chef Mickey's or Crystal Palace. they are pretty much the same and are great.

My suggestions for each park would be:

Magic Kingdom: Crystal Palace for breakfast with Pooh and friends (try to get the 8:05 a.m. ADR and you will have Main Street pratically to yourself--great for pictures)

Epcot: LeCellier or Biergarten

Animal Kingdom: Yak & Yeti

Studios: Sci Fi Dine In for lunch (and don't miss out on the onion rings)

I would do Crystal Palace for a Breakfast.
Chef Mickeys's for buffet (B or D)
CRT if you can get it(Altought it is 2 TS per person.)
Tony's Town Square is another place large food portions.
I have kids and they all love these places

With 2 young kids I would use the extra credits for bk.
Since you have young kids I would suggest :
Chef Mickey's - bk or din
1900 Park Fare- bk or din
Crystal Palace- bk or din
Tusker House -bk
DHS- Prime Time -Din
DHS-Hollywood & Vine - bk
Epcot - Coral Reef the kids would love the aquarium
Epcot- Garden Grill
I know I picked a lot of buffets but speaking from experience it's great with young kids. :thumbsup2

Some must do restaurants for our family are:

Crystal Palace in MK. It is a character meal (we prefer dinner, but hear the brkfst is awesome) with Pooh and friends.
The place itself has a "mary poppins" feel, not theme, but just the over all feeling of the place. Very comfortable and relaxing.
Is very handy being in MK.

Whispering Canyon Cafe is next, at Wilderness Lodge, it is a short, relaxing boat ride over from MK.
The restaurant is western, where the servers get "rowdy" and have fun with you....if you go make sure to ask for ketchup. ( ;) )

Lastly we love Ohana at the Poly hotel.
It is a family style meal, all you can eat, wonderful food. It can get a bit loud at dinner time, so I recommend going early to dinner. They have the best dessert in all of WDW in my opinion.....bread pudding, but not just any bread pudding!!!

Now to answer your question, we prefer sit down dinners. Once up in the morning we like to get going and take a small break for lunch at a CS place, so by dinner we are needing a nice, relaxing meal and down time. Not to mention we are more dinner eaters as far as food goes as well.

Good luck, enjoy, check out the menus online and have fun!!

'Ohana is a great pick! The food is delicious, there is activities for the children, and cinderella's castle is right outside the window. It is located in the Polynesian resort.

The Crystal Palace is also a great choice!

Have a great trip! :goodvibes

I also recommend Crystal Palace B, L, or D and Tusker house for B and Hoop Dee Doo (Awesome)! We love Beirgarten - German music and dancing is fun for all- but if there are less than 8 in your party you WILL be sitting with other families. We liked Chefs de France. DD likes Remy and they bring him around on a silver tray. It's cute! Rose and Crown about 7:30 pm in order to be done in time to see Illuminations. So many restaurants so little time:rotfl:

Our must-do's include O'Hana, Coral Reef, and Chef Mickeys. Personally, I could do with CM's, as the food is mediocre at best, but the kids don't feel Disneyfied without it!!

We finally managed to snag an ADR for LeCellier this time around (late August), so we're excited about trying that!!

Oh yeah, and I forgot Boma at AKL! Love everything about it!

Here are my must do's (not in any order & excluding signature restaurants)

Ohana
Boma
Teppan Edo
Coral Reef
WCC

Here are my overrated or underachieving list ( other than Le'Cellier, not in order)

Le'Cellier (good, but far from great)
Cape May
Sci-Fi Dine In
50's Prime Time
Tutto Italia

This is only my own personal tastes and observations and are intended only to be opinion. I mention this only to keep from being flamed as though I state this as fact. :lmao:

We've been taking our kids to Chef Mickeys since they were about 4. And at the age of 19 they still don't feel like the trip is complete unless they eat breakfast at Chef Mickeys. That's my #1 with kids.

We tend to be a breakfast family for sit down.

Other than Chef Mickeys we like

1900 Park fare (characters)
Crystal Palace- breakfast, dinner or lunch (characters for atleast bkfst & lunch not sure about dinner).
