Yay! And I got them super cheap too! (£99/each leisure select return) but because they were so cheap I can't cancel them. So I'm definitely going - yaaaay!

I love the eurostar, and the lady says we definitely have a little two seater table, I love those!!!

Yay, that's the best bit of the early build-up is booking the bits you can't cancel, so you know you have to go.

I'm still waiting to book mine. Hopefully it might be next week if I'm lucky :thumbsup2

I love Lesuire select, we got upgraded to that January there was so much room in the seats Kyra was able to share the seat with me instead of crushing my legs lol.

We got upgraded to lesuire select for free for our journey home next January yay!

Yay!! i wish i got upgraded to leisure select loool i dont have enough pennies to pay for it lool i think it was about £150 each for oct

Ohhh Leisure Select is awesome, really feels like the holiday has begun on the train with that!

Even better that you can't cancell, means that you really do have to go!!

Yeah, I love it.

Never been normal class but ahve peeked through the window, and I must say it looks very nice aswell though.

ooowww that sounds so good, did you ring them direct then just as they were released to get them that cheap!

lucky you, your next trip will be amazing :wizard:

My mum works in the travel industry, and can get special concessionary rates for Eurostar.

Sadly not for hotels though :(

Its ok- i'm not really fussy about it as i'm just excited to be going to dlp an as long if it comfy- its only 2hours loool But my bf did think it could have been abit cleaner.

To be honest, there's no a great deal to call between leisure select and standard IMO. You get a bit more leg room and wider seats, plus a couple of other bits which were obviously fairly insignificant because I can't remember what they were.

Standard class is still an enjoyable trip - it's not like being on a plane in cattle class where my legs are wedged in and the person in front makes it worse by reclining their seat (I'm 6'2, so don't play well with cattle class seats - I always try to request an emergency exit or aisle seat).

loool my bf is tall - well not as tall as you but he doesnt have a prob in standard def not like on a plane. I dont think i'd pay for leisure select, i'm tight and would rather spend the money on something else loool as long as it gets you there, it doesnt really matter that much loool

Agreed. I don't mind paying extra if I notice it and enjoy it, like on planes where I'd happily pay extra for an emergency exit seat (I wouldn't go as far as a class upgrade though) if I didn't get them free because of DB's autism getting us priority boarding which always seems to includes a leg room seat. I wouldn't personally bother paying for extra when I'm happy with what I've got though.

I'd never pay for leisure select, im just lucky that i always seem to get upgraded for free...they must have me down as a regular Eurostar traveller :rotfl: Also the fact that the lady i last booked tickets with used to live in the same street i grew up may of helped aswell :lmao:

OK, I'm a newbie on the ways of Eurostar, and we are just now in the beginning stages of planning a trip to UK and DLP in 2010. What do the different classifications mean when booking your trip? Typically, how far in advance would you need to book seats on Eurostar?

There are 2 different classes of seats on eurostar.

There is nomal (don't know what its called) where the seats are grouped in sets of 4. All you get is your seat for the price.

Looks like this:

Or leisure select (like 1st class) where the seats are bigger (grouped in 4's and 2's) and you get a hot meal in both directions and free drinks.

On city to city trains (not dlp ones) there is also a business class, which is the same as leisure select but you get a lounge with business services at the station and a 'quick' meal on the train so you can get on with your work.

You can book from about 6 months out I think, and depending what time of year you go you can probably get tickets up until quite close before.

I like having Leaisure select as I know that sitting in a 2 I wont be next to/opposite someone I don't know.

In Standard class most of the sits are in twos, so you wouldnt be siting next to someone you dont know anyway if there're only two of you- most of the for sits are taken by families.

There will be 3 of us, so looks like we'll have a "guest" sitting among us, either way.
I doubt you would if you got 1st class.

I've been 3 times on it to DLP and never have I been on a carriage more than 1/3rd full. Full on the paris service but never on the disney direct train.

Even when there are announcements to standard class about it being busy and please dont block the corridors etc. We were the only people in our LS coach!
