This is just so exciting I had to share.

For all those out there looking for a GREAT DEAL at MCO Hyatt checkout Hotwire. I was able to get Fri. May 21st for $24. $33.95 w/ tax. Hyatt.com price is currently $164. I was almost too scared to look when it confirmed my reservation because I REALLY wanted Hyatt, and I took a risk. But I figured for $34 bucks, what did I have to lose. I'm soo..happy.

I was just looking into this. Did it say there was an airport shuttle in the Hotwire amenities? I saw there was a $24 hotel in the Airport area, but it did not say shuttle. So I was afraid. How many stars was it? I think I'll take the plunge, once I get your answers.

Thank you SO (sorry to yell) much!

Tandy

O.K. I know I have read it before but I can't remember now, how do you do it to get the Hyatt? How many stars do you check and what amenities will show up?

I just checked Hotwire again and it's still showing the same hotel.

The one I chose had 3 1/2 stars and the amenities are: food, pool, fitness center, business center, and tennis nearby. There is NO SHUTTLE ICON. It's now going for $25. Whew glad I got in before that increase!!! LOL.

I had read in previous threads people got the Hyatt by choosing the hotel with these same amenities. So I went for it. And THANKFULLY it was Hyatt.

Thanks for the heads up...:D

I just booked The Hyatt on Hotwire for $24 (33.95 total), for February 25th, 2004!!! :earseek: :hyper: :hyper:

It worked !!! I got it, too!! I am so excited. Two rooms at $25 each for one night!!!!

Thank you again for posting. You saved me alot of money!!

Thanks for the info. I just got the Hyatt for 25.00 for Dec 6/03. I guess I'll have to call the Hyatt tomorrow to cancel my first resie that I booked directly for 119.00. Yipee!!!

Wendy

P.S. Anyone know if I can call the Hyatt and request two beds?

Anyone know if the Radisson at the port is ever on Hotwire and clues/tips how to get it cheaply?

I got the same deal! $33.95 total at the Hyatt for April 22, '04.

Thanks so much for your help.

These boards are super great.

Thank you, thank you!! I just got the MCO Hyatt for the night before our cruise (7/16/04) for $33.95 including fees. I don't like to wait till the last minute to book a room. I was going to reserve a room using the "great" Hyatt.com rate of $144 + tax. I have never used HotWire, but you gave me the courage to try it. I feel like I just won the lottery!! Thanks again

This is just some of the pixie dust that I love about this board!

If you book through Hotwire, can you cancel if the need arises just like you can booking thru any other source?

Patches, no, you can't cancel and get a refund. They do offer travel insurance, although, I didn't read about it.

Thanks Dreamer04, at that price I think I will take my chances of being able to fly in the day before if DH can take the extra day. I've spent more than that on one meal for the 2 of us before. It's still worth it.

Patches, I know what you mean. I decided to give it a shot. If it came back with a hotel I didn't want, I would just chalk it up to experience. $62.75 for 2 rooms on 2/13/04 is incredible. If I lost the $62.75-well to me it was worth the risk.

Now I am going to cancel my ressie with the Radisson at the port.
I was not looking forward to the shuttle to the port with Dh, DS 14. DD6, and DM 77. Plus luggage and a security blanket-LOL-can't pack that!!

So, it will be the MCO Hyatt for 2/13, Happy Limo in the morning-sigh- I can barely stand the wait!!

Down to double-digits!!

I got it too! $25 each for two rooms 4/1/04. And I thought the $54 I got through hotwire for our last cruise was wonderful :) Thanks so much for the heads up on this one.

:Pinkbounc Just booked ours too for June 18th. It really makes it seem like it's getting closer. Now if I can just get a good price on the airline tickets maybe I can upgrade at the port if I save enough!!!:Pinkbounc

Just wondering, do you get two queen/double beds with this room? I am so ready to book but I am not sure about the room limitations. I need 4 in a room.

Thanks for the tip.

Tina

Thanks!!! I got it!!!

Just saw this thread this AM - have never used Hotwire before but it was so easy. And we're so excited about the price! It works great for us because we're getting in a little later on Friday so we can just get off the plane and relax. Now to figure out morning transfers!

OurDogCisco - we also need to sleep 4. My confirmation from Hotwire states they don't guarantee number of beds, smoking preference but they provide Hyatt's phone number so that you can call the hotel and make your requests.
