hey I just wanted to share my good luck. I just booled the Hyatt Place MCO on Hotwire for $ 55 dollars a night:woohoo: for June 4th 2012 till June 6th 2012. The Hyatt Place web price for these dates was $140 a night:scared1: Hopefully this will help someone else get a good deal.....

That's a great deal, I got an advanced price of $99 when I booked last year. It's a really nice place and you will love it!

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the Hyatt inside MCO The Hyatt Regency Orlando? I thought Hyatt Place was out of MCO but still close?

We just got the Hyatt Place MCO for $46 + taxes and fees through Priceline. It is a 3 star listing hotel at the Orlando Airport. This was for 1 night, Dec 7th, before we board the Dream on 12/8. My husband stayed here back in November and says it is a really nice place very close to the airport. Plus free parking, free wifi and free breakfast. Some of the airport area hotels charge for all of this.

Hate to burst your bubbles...I got the Hyatt Place over labor day weekend this year for $25 bid on Priceline. I think it was something like $33 with taxes/fees, don't remember exactly. We LOVED it there! Plenty of room, great breakfast and very close to the airport. Free shuttle to!!

Oh my! $25! That's awesome. Never hurts to try those low bids, I guess. Thanks for sharing.

The Hyatt Place is a lovely 2.5* hotel with the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. We got it for $29 on Priceline once and $34 another time.

Thanks! I am going to check it out. We are going in August and want to get there 3 days early so my girls can see The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and spend 2 days at US.

Do you recall if the Hyatt Place had a rating? Just wondered if you can differentiate this Hyatt from other MCO 3 stars.

As someone who has never bid on Priceline, you don't know that you got the Hyatt place until checkout, correct? Do you just bid on a 2.5* & hope for the best? Is there any obligation if you just bid? Or do you actually have to accept? I really want to stay @ Hyatt place, but not sure how to know that's it on Priceline/Hotwire etc.

Sorry - I didn't ask my question correctly. I was wondering if there is a way to determine if a 2.5* hotel is the Hyatt Place. Often, there is a rating, such as 90%, 80%, etc. Does anyone know what rating the Hyatt Place typically shows?

Thanks!

Wow great price! Hope i can get a good deal like that!
Have a Fantastic cruise!

On Priceline, you don't know what the hotel is until you "win" the bid, and at that point you are obligated to pay for it. Hotwire actually gives you more info before you purchase, but in general I've found them to be more costly for a hotel and the rating levels are higher--a 2.5 on Hotwire is like a 2.0 on Priceline. On Priceline, there are several decent 2.5* hotels in the MCO area, but the Hyatt Place is the nicest. Just no way to predict.

When I booked the hotel on Hotwire is said 3 star hotel with 95% review ratings. This was my first time on Hotwire. I hope this helps.

Well, i went on Hotwire and tried my luck. Got a 3 star with 95% rating and booked. Ended up being Wingate By Windham. But, I looked and it also has good reviews. Already have Hyatt place booked pre-cruise w/ a stay certificate. Needed something for the post cruise night prior to our flight. Thanks for the info though :)

wasn't there a posting about hyatt moo and hot-wire? some way to predict this hotel? i need to book it and would love any info anyone has.
