Just booked HI airfare.....crossing fingers

Something will be available at Aulani 7 months out. We have enough points to cover anything but a 3 Bdrm from Jun 1- Jun 8. There will be a modest penalty on airfare that we're prepared to deal with if we can't find anything.

Just asking for some advance pixie dust! One step closer to paradise!

I'm going to be trying to get round trip tickets for 4 using our airline miles, then keeping my fingers crossed for availability too. I only have enough points for a two bedroom island view for the week we're looking at in June. We're hoping to celebrate our son's high school graduation at Aulani!

Here's hoping we all get our rooms! I have something like 500,000 Marriott points so that is my backup plan!

No sale for us, as we booked airfare on reward points. You have to snatch those up quick. There's no way those fares would be around at the 7 month mark.

If HI doesn't work out, we're thinking about spending 10 days at WDW. So it's a win/win.

Unfortunately, I couldn't get 4 round trip award tickets with my miles for the dates we need (darn all those dance recitals and high school graduations!). The only award tickets available for our return were at the Business class level and we just don't have enough miles. I could buy miles and then we'd have enough, but we just got back from a trip to Universal and WDW and I don't want to put anything more on the credit card until after we pay off what we charged on our trip. And, I've been using the new resort availability tool and I'm afraid to book the airfare until I'm closer to the 7 month mark to make sure I can get the room category I need.

So now we're considering other options -- perhaps a trip to Disneyland Paris?

We just got back from Aulani last week, we booked 7 nights at the 7 month mark.. Did already have our airfare booked, But I reserved a week at a Marriott on pts just in case we couldn't get the nts we needed. Thankfully it all worked out. Aulani was just awesome we rented a two bedrm Oceanview it was great.. You will have a great time...Good Luck !!!

We booked an ocean view grand villa at the 7 month window for 7 days in june last year. we got it and had an amazing time, beautiful sunsets, lovely Hawaiian music playing in the evening when we sat out on our balcony with a nice glass of wine. You guys will love it, so relaxing it was entirely different then going to WDW or DL in Ca.
