Just booked a weekend in April for me, my DD (8) and two of my friends for my friend and my birthdays. We are doing 2 nights at VGC. I'm thinking only one day tickets, but we might do 2 days.

It is my friend's 30th birthday and her first time at DL. What extra pixie dust can we add to her trip? She is a kid at heart. I'm thinking she can get hair and makeup at the BBB. Maybe a character meal also. Any suggestions?

Weekends are busy two days would helps so much. If you mean the first couple weeks of April, more days would really help. Since you are staying two night this means either check in on Friday or check out on Monday. Maybe a 3 day hopper would be nice.

Being able to see all the night shows will help. Minnie and Friends or Story Tellers for breakfast would be a lot of fun.

We will be there the third weekend and arriving Friday and leaving on Sunday. Being a very seasoned DL vet, my gut feeling is to purchase 2-day we only have three days and that includes drive time (7 hrs on way). So I'm not sure we will get our money's worth, but we're still looking at our options.

DD and I have done the character breakfast at PPH and Goofy's kitchen in the past. I've always wanted to do Minnie and Friends so we will look at that, but I'm leaning toward a character breakfast at a hotel and we do it the morning we leave. That way it does not use up our precious park time and it'sa fun way to leave Disney.

When DH and I went last summer we saw WOC in the park, but I think this time we may try to see it from the DVC viewing area. I'm not sure I want to deal with the crowds again.

I also realize that we will not see everything. Just being there and getting to do a little will be great.

I just think you need the extra, not for you, but for you to share with the friend on thier first visit, all of the things you love.

As for the breakfast I suggested Minnie and Friends because it has a variety of characters old and new, so it can be better for the "big kids". Also Storytellers because it's in the same building, and it has the buffet or menu option.

I'd plan for WoC in the park, because it is so much better. Sure you can see it from the villa viewing area, but it's not the same thing. Do you want to have your friend see the ice cream or eat the ice cream. It's all ice cream but the experience is much different.

I've narrowed down the decision to either PCH or Goofy's for the breakfast, but I'm leaning more toward the PCH since it is a little cheaper and you get a picture of Mickey. We are going to go on the day we leave so we will not have any park tickets. This will be kind of a so long to DL meal.

I'm also leaning toward the Fantasmic! dessert package. We are also talking about leaving Thursday afternoon and driving about halfway and leave early in the morning. This way we can get at least 1 1/2 days in the park. I'm going with teachers and my daughter so we have to be back at school on Monday.

I'm going to have my friend pick a few rides that she really wants to ride and get those in the mix.

I've tried to search for pictures of the WOC from the viewing area at VGC with no luck. I'm thinking of watching that from the there and do the Fantasmic! dessert the other night and maybe it will be somewhat stress free. Of course another option is that we only do one.
