Usually we book our annual trip when Free Dining is announced in April. The last couple of years we have used a bounceback offer to book it during our August trip.

With the Free Dining already announced for 2011, this is the first time I have ever booked next years trip before even leaving for this years trip.:rotfl2:

I wonder when the Free Dining for 2012 will be announced.:lmao:

I did the same thing. It feels great to not have to worry about getting the code and booking it while on vacation. Already done.:)

Absolutely. Although there is a certain excitement coming back from the park one day and finding the Bouceback offer flyer in your room. Though, it is definitely worth trading that for peace of mind now.

So did we! I haven't been looking because I KNEW there wasn't going to be any promos...and all of a sudden here is an email about free dining in August 2011....SO we are booked---Cabins for 6 (2 Adults 3 children). First time staying there ( we always do CSR but are bringing our nieces) and can;t wait. Only 1 year 3 days LOL!!!! My best friend who has NEVER gone to WDW without me is there right now so I REALLY have the itch.-----------------May even book free dining for end of Feb beginning of March for a few days!!! :)

I couldn't believe it either when I saw the offer. I'm responsible for planning a trip with for us and my cousin's family and was overwhelmed with trying to stay on their budget. I knew they couldn't afford to go unless we got some kind of deal so I was stressing about having to wait until April to book the trip. I was so excited to have the offer come out this early. What a load off my shoulders!

Just booked this morning! I usually book our trip in August and then wait for the free dining code and then spend hours on the phone waiting to apply it. This is so much nicer! :thumbsup2

Course at this point I am not 100% sure we won't have to cancel ... but it is worth the peace of mind having the free dining now if we determine that we will be able to go.

Us too!!! We are making a surprise stop over in Dec and just booked for next August! I have never booked this far out but wasnt letting FD slip through my fingers this time!:thumbsup2

My boyfriend and I are planning on doing this as well! I leave for Disney in just over 2 weeks with my mom. When I get back from that trip I think we are going to book for the 23rd-29th or 30th if we decide on the extra day. It'll be his first trip to Disney ever! :)

We are booked for next year too! Last year we had booked bounceback for arrival ... sigh, next Tuesday :sad1: ... but had too many unexpected bills come up this year so cancelled. Although I'm still sad that I won't be there next week, I'm all set for next year and already planning! Not telling DS's yet - for now it's DH and my secret! :woohoo:

Sorry to hear about this year's trip, but having next year's trip with Free Dining booked already is sure to take a bit of the sting out it.

I just heard from a friend that the 2011 dining plan now does not include dessert. I was wondering how this could be confirmed. If it is true, the free regular dining isn't such a great deal. For those who have been going every year, the first year was the best, included appetizer, dinner dessert and tip. They then took away the appetizer and made us pay the tip, now with this change, the only thing we would be getting free is the main course. I don't know, I might have to rethink our travel plans for next year.

I just booked for free dining for August next year as well! Disney releasing it early works well for me!! We were not planning on WDW next year (went 2 times this year!) as we have a big vacation planned elsewhere that we are spending our vacation $$ on. But now I know the exact price for the FD promo, I have a full year to pay it off at about $150 a month - I can shave money off our grocery budget and entertainment budget for the next year and not notice it too much! If they had waited until April, I probably wouldn't have thought about doing it at all!! I'm not telling the kids though, just in case school decides to start before labor day or something kooky like that!!

I agree Mom2Elliot!! Although I am always saving for our **next** WDW trip :rotfl: - actually having reservations is quite the motivator for me! :dance3:

I just checked the Dining Plan PDF from the Disney site and it shows dessert included for both CS and TS lunch/dinner. :thumbsup2

This was a rumour that circulated a few weeks ago because information released to U.K. travel agents seemed to say that dessert was not included. Wouldn't be much of a "Plan" if the only thing you got was an Entree.

Luckily, as ForeverDance mentioned the official PDF for the 2011 Plan on Disney's website shows that desserts are still included for CS and TS meals. Now if they would only put back the appetizer.

I had to cancel my trip for this week, and would have been there now! But, I was excited to see that I would be able to just transfer over my current reservation to next year's free dining package, so I am all set! They did remind me of the new cancellation policy though.
