Just booked for December!! A few questions

Just this minute booked for a weekend trip to DLP! Going Dec 19th - 21st. I understand that the parks will probably be real busy this weekend as it's the weekend before Christmas, but just wondering how bad will the crowds be? We've been to DLP a few times before so won't need to do absolutely everything, we're going to be there for the Christmas stuff mostly!

Any ideas what the opening hours for the parks will be? Can't seem to find any info on the website yet. I ask this as we're planning to book the Christmas dinner in the park on the 20th, and also want to try Blue Lagoon restaurant, but are aware that can't make ADRs til 60 days.

Congratulations on booking!

I haven't been over Christmas so I can't comment on how busy it will be however during the Halloween Celebrations the DL park is open until 10pm and the Studios is open until 7pm at the weekend so I'd imagine that it would be roughly the same for Christmas. They have recently released the opening times for November so December's should be availiable by October.

A few people on trip reports seem to suggest that the parks are ok during the week up until Christmas Day but that the weekends are very busy so I'd be prepared.

Remember that rides such as PM, POTC and IASW are people eaters and are capable of shifting thousands of people per hour so they would be the best rides for shorter queues.

I have never been in DLRP during the Christmas season but i have been there the weekend before Easter and the park was packed up with people, the queue for most of the rides was more than one hour.
I would say, enjoy the atmosphere and get ready to spend quite a few time queueing

Congrats on your booking. Dec can be quite busy especially when everyone is on holiday. Just enjoy the magic and the Xmas atmosphere, it's wonderful!

Hi we went a couple of years ago about this time i believe the parks were only open till 7-7.30pm and basically shut after the fantillusion parade it was very cold so dress for the weather much easier to peel layers off than to freeze espacially as you will be in queues but it was not too busy as i remember it has been worse in the summer the atmosphere is fantastic though and well worth it HOT CHOCOLATE was my saviour though to warm me up but you will love it never the less
