Just booked Comfort Suites on Paradise Island!

Just wondering for those of you who have booked a room to use the pools at Atlantis - do they let you take coolers in with you to the pool area? Would that be worth it or a pain to deal with all day? Are there towels provided - and are beach chairs free or rented? What is the easiest way to get there from the ship - car or water taxi?

We took a cab to Atlantis and dropped off Grandparents and our cooler. Then had the cab deliver Hubby and I to Comfort Suites where we checked in (and out) and got the necessary paperwork to gain access at Atlantis. Took the short walk down the hill to Atlantis and met up with Grandparents. Entered pool area where we "signed in" at the towel shack. Towels are free, chairs/lounges are free. Had a wonderful day, ate lunch from our cooler, visited the aquariums, swam, relaxed, etc... Then grabbed another cab back to the ship! No problem at all!

I just read about doing this and was interested. What rate did you get? And how much is the taxi ride over?

We had booked our room almost a year in advance. Our rate was $132 plus taxes, etc. Total was about $160. We had a military discount though and the regular prices are a bit higher. The cab ride was about $4 per person plus tip.

Absolutely! And the ship excursion does not allow you to use the pools and slides!
