Just booked CHEAP plane tix! What did you pay?

For those of you who scored the awesome $25 & $38 deals...how'd you do this??

Did you sign up for a special website like Kayak or just keep checking rates on every airline website?

I'm super curious!

I'm so excited, our trip is officially official! I booked our plane tickets. We are flying in to Long Beach from Portland, Oregon with JetBlue. We paid $89 each way, and the prices went up to $106, so I got in just in time! So excited! :cheer2:

I was just wondering what everyone else is paying to fly in to DLR, and what is the best deal out there?

tip for you keep checking the airfare if it goes down on the days you are flying call jetblue and tell them you want the lower price they will give you credit the difference for future jetblue flight:)

Booked yesterday. Chicago to LA $99 each way with free bags on Southwest. I've been watching the fares for a couple of months. Saved $60 each way going to lax instead of sna.

We booked our tickets in December on Alaska from Portland, OR to SNA. Tickets were $50 each way, plus fees, which ended up totaling $121 round trip per person. :cool1: The latest travel date was mid-March. They had the same sale at the same time last year. We weren't even going to go this year, but we couldn't pass up fare like that. :thumbsup2

I got mine through the Southwest website. There were three days a few months back where they were selling tickets VERY cheap. I only saw it advertised on TV once, but I just so happened to check the Southwest site, and there was an advertisement for a flight deal. The price of the ticket depended on how many miles the flight took. Mine just so happened to be in the lowest bracket, so I ended up with $39 each way  Of course, there were restrictions on when you flew, but that only included three-day weekends, Christmas time and Spring Break, I think. But that's the only time I've ever seen them do something like that, hopefully they decide to do it again!! :confused3:thumbsup2

Edit: I'm a frequent flyer for Southwest, so I really check the site often for great deals. I'll make sure to make noise about one if I see it :)

I paid $108 on Southwest for my DH to fly out to meet me after the Expo (we'll take the train back), and after fees and the extra $10 for seat preference thing it came to $138...One way!..sounds like threre are some deals we can't get from our El Paso airport..

Our $25 deal was through Southwest.com. I am on their e-mail list so I get e-mails about deals. I jumped on it right away. It was different tiers. Like $25 for 0-500 miles and it went up from there. We are about 430 miles away I think. Hoping it will come up again for our June trip.

We got $119 round trip with AA this time. I usually drive but airfare dropped so we decided to fly this time.

I flew jet blue once. Never again.
