I remember something was changing for this but can't remember what is all included. 2 adults and 1 child was $102!

By the way, August had alot of openings for the castle. Could it be the high prices keeping people away? Many of the other restaurants had alot of openings also. Didn't it change to 180 days from 90 days? Maybe people don't know about that.

I loved the castle breakfast - it was a highlight of many trips but I think they have priced themselves out of it ...for us anyway - just isn't worth it to go back.

What a bargain.....

....I'm kidding. I was hoping to get a ADR for our visit in October, in some ways it's great if it's easier to get one, but I think I might have to neglect to tell DH the price.

RIDICULOUS!! :( Very sad that they have priced this so high that the typical average family could never afford to eat here for breakfast. We won't be paying these outrageous prices.

We were also a family that loved to do the castle breakfast and have many fond memories of it. And memories they will now be as I'm not paying their new price!

I agree this used to be a must for my family. But it has definitely out priced itself. We are a family of 4 could not see spending $150.00 on breakfeast. Rather put it towards and extra day of vacation.

For the new price, you know get a photo package of your group with Cinderella. Also, I may have read that the tax and tip is already included in that price....but I may be misremembering.

I was reading some of the reviews on the restaurant board, and it seems like the characters aren't there in the same numbers as before. DD really wants to see Jasmine, and when I told her people weren't listing her, she happily agreed to switch to the Storybook Breakfast. I am happy with her decision since all of us can eat now......only two of us could have afforded to go to the castle, since the boys wouldn't make it worth the price.

Let us know about your experience afterwards! :)

I so agree, we have eaten there serveral times, but not anymore. I mean I can afford it, but I won't spend that much money on breakfast. We will do the breakfast at Epcot again instead...at least if they don't change that one, by the next time we go.

I think it is easier to book not only because of the crazy price hike but because a lot of people don't realize you can now make ADR's 180 prior. I know I was shocked when I called for our April trip, and had my choice of any time and day I wanted. I booked, put somewhere around $144 on my debit card (2 adults, 11 yr. old ds, 9 yr old dd) and was just amazed. It wasn't even 5:00 a.m. and I got it! Then I started realizing how insane this was, I don't care if they do give you a picture, they had just taken $144 out of my checking account for a breakfast we wouldn't be eating for six months. So I called, cancelled and received a credit on my debit card. I am one crazed Disney gal but there are limits! If we ever do this again I'll be surprised and it makes me sad, but its just too expensive.

$102 for two adults and a child for breakfast!?!?!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, that is just totally ridiculous, even with the picture and tax and tip included, it's outrageous...and even more than that...it's just sad.
Disney money grubbing at it's worst.

I think it's terrible they don't offer you on choice on the picture like at Chef Mickey's too, I mean what if doesn't come out good or you don't like...you are just stuck with a VERY expensive picture.

Completely outrageous!!!! This is exactly why we're forgoeing a character breakfast, not worth it when my kids will be satisfied with cereal in our room!!!

I guess that made my decision on whether or not to try and make a reservation for our May trip easy. With my family of five, it would be ridiculous. That's too bad, too. I have always wanted to eat in the castle and my daughter was really hoping we would this time.

I wouldn't forgo all character breakfasts . . . some are very reasonable and an excellent bargain considering they are all you can eat. You just have to shop around.

we were going to do this this year, but heck with that, we'll take a Wishes cruise or something really special instead for that price.

We went for the first time this past October and even though we have no small children, we didn't care for the experience or breakfast for the cost. A total of 5 or 6 princess type characters and family style serving in a rather crowded castle was not as good as Chef Mickeys. Chef Mickeys has got to be the best character breakfast in WDW. We used to just have lunch in the Castle years ago and it was a nice treat to eat at lunch time to hide from the heat and crowds. After trying the breakfast this past year, we'll be skipping it more so now with the price increase. Even the breakfast buffet at Fort Wilderness, for the money, was better than the Castle deal.

Sorry, but we are a group of 5 me (42), so (45), DS15, DSD15, DS14 and we are paying 191.00 for breakfast. Alot, yes, but the experience for the princess is going to be worth every penny!

I wouldn't totally forego a character breakfast, especially since you have little ones and it's their first time. This is the most overpriced character meal, and you can definitely find more reasonable ones. Check out the dining section of this excellent site:

www.allearsnet.com

They have the menus and the prices and are very current.

You're kids don't know what they're missing, but if you book just one character breakfast for them, you'll all have a wonderful experience. It's worth it just for the look on their faces when a character comes right up to them and gives them a hug - it's priceless! :sunny:

I'm glad I took DD last year to eat at the castle because we certainly will not be doing it this September. I'm not using 2 of my TS credits for what we got at breakfast. I got better pictures at Toontown with the Princesses.
