Hello everyone! It's been awhile since I've been on these boards. We just booked a 10 night stay in August for a 2 bdrm at BLT with a theme park view. We are VERY excited, especially DH! Want to get some input from others that have had a theme park view. I heard that the 2 bdrms are on the higher floors. Will I be able to see the fireworks from my room?? It's our first time staying there so we wanted to go "all out" but are the extra points for the theme park view really worth it? Any thoughts/input greatly appreciated.

We will be staying at BLT in June, but just for one night before our cruise. I am anxious to hear what others have to say. We don't have a park view, we opted for the lake view.

2 bdrms are on all levels and categories.

You should have no problem, but rooms xx16 to xx24 will have "better" views.

I have small children, so yes, it was definitely worth it to us. Our kids loved looking out the window and seeing the CR, monorail, MK and fireworks. My wife wants to stay there every time. "Really worth it" is in the eye of the beholder. The only way to tell is to experience it, then you will be able to tell for yourself. FWIW: I loved being immersed in the "magic" just by looking out the window. We were pretty high up in a room ending in xx24. It is a pretty cool view of the MK area.

As mentioned, rooms with a TP view start as low as floor 3 (that is changing in 2013) but the higher the floor, the better the view so I would simply put in that request.

We have not yet tried that view because we just were not willing to pay those high points when we could be as low as floor 3. Now that those rooms on the lower floors are being classified as SV, I may reconsider trying out a TP view room at some point when DH and I go by ourselves and do a studio.

Have a great time--we will be there for 3 nights in August as well!!!

I would request a outer-C LV that ends in xx02 to xx14, depending on room (studio, 1bdrm, 2 bdrm). Some of those have an unofficial MK view and a view of the fireworks. Obviously, the closer you are to xx16 the better the chance of this happening. Plus, you will have more privacy than inner-C rooms.

There is a thread on the DVC Resorts board by WORK2PLAY that has links to photos of the views from different rooms.

you want high as possible!!! - first request

if you get below 7th floor - ask for higher. (room number would start with 77)

now if someone is your family is monrail crazy then 7th floor is fine - so is 6th and 5th.

but if you want the views of the MK that you paid for - go for higher views

I don't think I could justify the points use myself. Like the PP said, it is in the eye of the beholder. I think it would be really cool to see the park from the room, but we spend so much time not in the room, I think i'd prefer to use the points for an extra night(s).

We lucked out on our BLT trip last year. We rented points for a 2 br at SV for a February trip. (In the middle of a purchase now). We ended up on the top floor with a full lake view. As far as I know, the owner was only charged for SV points. We paid for 231 points and my math showed that was the points for SV.

OK then. I'm going to ask for views xx16 and above when I check in. I understand when you say that the view is in the eye of the beholder. Even though my own kids are teens, my cousin and her 3 little girls ages, 8, 10 and 11 will be there with us. Also, my husband is such a Disney fan that he looks at Disney through the eyes of a toddler each and everytime we go!! I think he is going to love this even more than all the kids put together!
