Just Booked Austria, Germany, and Czech Republic August 2, 2014!

So excited! Anyone else? We wanted to book South Africa during Christmas Break, but the dates don't work for school break. We're very disappointed. I wonder why they chose dates that didn't coordinate with the school calendar.

We booked this trip as well for June 21st! We'll probably spend a few days in Munich before heading to Prague.

This looks incredible!! We're adding a couple of days in Austria onto our Germany ABD and all of the places we were thinking of going are on the new ABD!!

I really thought I was going to book Italy & Amalfi Coast, but I am looking at this trip... and I just don't know. It truly looks amazing. GROAN! I am booking the first week of June and geeze I really just can't decide... I thought I had my mind made up, but here I am changing it.

I haven't been to the Amalfi Coast, but I visited Vienna and Salzburg last year and loved it. They are both beautiful, historic cities. I noticed that ABD tours the Spanish Riding School. If you're interested in seeing the Lippizaner Stallions, check the dates when they are in Vienna. I believe they are at pasture outside the city during the entire month of July.

We just did a DIY tour similar almost exactly a year ago. For those who are going be prepared to be amazed! Cesky Krumlov is the most beautiful place I have ever been

I would suggest adding a few more days in Prague though....we were there for four full days, and could have easily stayed four more!

We also did a Tauck Danube river cruise and then spent a few days in Prague. A beautiful city rich in history and also could spend more time. We did most everything listed (and then some more) on our river cruise so unfortunately we will pass on that trip.

So my husband and I were talking Disney today and I casually mentioned the new trip & he was like it sounds amazing way better than the Italy one.... So I supposed that sealed the deal for me lol. Sooo, I guess again my mind has been changed.

About to book for June 14th! Will be our first ABD. Been dreaming about any ABD trip but having my inlaws interested sealed the deal for my DH who thought we could do it fine on our own. So trip of a lifetime for my kids to share with their parents and grandparents!!

Now so much to learn and do...

It can get very hot and humid in late July and early August so you should check the weather forecast history. We were there in early July and the week we had 90-95 degrees and had to switch hotels just to have AC to sleep. Thank God for the Hilton.
